WATER SENSOR PART #06-5 AND #06-6SP

WATER SENSOR PART #06-5 AND #06-6SP

The sending unit is dual voltage, 12 or 24 volt DC. The probe is 1/8 "NPT brass threads and stainless steel probe. The probe is also self grounding to insure accurate readings. Self grounding eliminates the need to scrape paint off an area to achieve a perfect metal to metal ground. The probe will detect the difference between fuel and water . If water is in the fuel the indicator light will be on. The module contains a panel that instructs you to open the valve and remove the water. When the water is removed the light will go off. Based on the resistance, the maximum current that the probe can drive through the fluid, assuming the fluid is conductive is less than 0.00004 amps or 0.04 milliamps. The maximum voltage on the probe is less than 10 volts. This combination is incapable of producing a spark. So the system is quite safe. #06-5 offers the module with audible alarm, alarm light and power on light. >>>

    BIOX-1010 ON-LINE BOD ANALYSER

    BIOX-1010 ON-LINE BOD ANALYSER

BIOX-1010 is an on-line analyser for continuous BOD measurement in industrial and municipal wastewater treatment plants. BOD data are generated with a lag time of only 3 to 15 minutes, with a standard measurement range of 20 to 1500 mg/liter BOD and available ranges covering 5 to 100,000 mg/liter. The real-time BOD data correlate well with five-day BOD5 laboratory results. Wastewater is continuously pumped through a sample bypass. The peristaltic pump built into BIOX continuously feeds a small stream of wastewater from the sample bypass to the bioreactor. Before it reaches the bioreactor, this wastewater stream is diluted with oxygen-saturated dilution water supplied by a gear pump. Inside the bioreactor, microorganisms grow inside small plastic cylinders where they are protected against mechanical abrasion caused by turbulent mixing. The respiration rate of the microbial population is automatically maintained at a constant level by a feedback loop that varies the dilution ratio. Increasing contamination of the wastewater increases the respiration rate, which in turn increases the dilution rate. Similarly, if the contamination level of the wastewater decreases, so does the dilution rate. The wastewater concentration in the reaction chamber is thus kept at a constant, low level, and the mixing ratio of wastewater and dilution water is used to calculate the BOD parameter. Standard Features True continuous measurement Response time: 3 to 15 minutes Measurement ranges of 20 - 1500 mg/liter BOD; 20 - 100,000 mg/liter BOD; 5 - 1500 mg/liter BOD Sample preparation with self-cleaning coarse filter Programmable concentration alarms Up to 14 days historical data can be recalled and displayed graphically Applications Increase the efficiency of water/wastewater treatment to reduce process costs in both industrial and municipal applications. Provide warning of organic spills, to protect expensive processes and equipment in addition to monitoring for regulatory compliance. BALMORAL SUPATHERM™ BUNDLE HYBRID OFFSET RISER (BHOR) BUOYANCY

BALMORAL SUPATHERM™ BUNDLE HYBRID OFFSET RISER (BHOR) BUOYANCY

Balmoral Supatherm™ Bundle hybrid offset riser (BHOR) buoyancy BHOR buoyancy operates in deepwater production environments where it is exposed to high hydrocarbon temperatures. Standard MDRB tolerates temperatures up to 50ºC but through-life performance can suffer through chemical degradation as a result. BHOR buoyancy also differs from standard MDRB in that its level of continuous long-term high performance is critical. It cannot be maintained, replaced or have performance loss adjusted by the use of tensioners, etc. BOE developed Supatherm, a macrosphere-free pure syntactic foam, to deliver optimal mechanical performance in temperatures exceeding 90ºC. The ability to cast Supatherm into large modules of complex shape, which can be site-trimmed to accommodate late design changes, has brought a new dimension to hybrid buoyancy/insulation systems. It is available in three standard grades: Supatherm 560 Depth rating 1000msw @ 90ºC Supatherm 580 Depth rating 1600msw @ 90ºC Supatherm 610 Depth rating 2000msw @ 90ºC >>>

    COMPUTERS (CONTROLLERS) - AQUASWITCH

    COMPUTERS (CONTROLLERS) - AQUASWITCH

What it Does: The AQUASWITCH™ is a special purpose dedicated computer which automatically "changes out" an exhausted DI bank for a fresh, stand-by bank. LEDs continually give the condition of both banks. An alarm output is activated as each bank is depleted. How it Works: When the monitor/controller senses poor quality water merely because the DI system has been shut down temporarily, the AQUASWITCH purges the "on-stream" bank until water quality recovers. If the DI bed is exhausted, however, water quality will not improve sufficiently after purging. The AQUASWITCH will then automatically take the exhausted bed out of service and switch over to the stand-by bank. The fresh bank is purged until the desired quality level is reached; it then goes into service. The purge cycle is controlled by a timer which is easily adjustable for periods from 1-10 minutes. This feature allows the system to be tailored to the requirements of each application, and ensures banks are not switched or shut down prematurely. A "manual change over" button can be depressed to switch banks at any time. The AQUASWITCH features advanced circuitry, including three solid state (not mechanical) relays to reliably operate the solenoid valves. Three or four solenoid valves suitable for ultrapure water (not supplied) are needed to make a complete AQUASWITCH system. Two models to choose from: The standard AQUASWITCH I does not monitor water quality itself, but may be used with any reliable resistivity or conductivity monitor/ controller such as the Myron L 750 Series II. The AQUASWITCH II is an integrated unit with a built in 750 Series II Resistivity or Conductivity Monitor/controller. They are available in several ranges. >>>

    COLITAG™ SYSTEM

    COLITAG™ SYSTEM

Colitag™ System The Colitag System is a breakthrough in Coliform testing. The test enables the simultaneous detection, identification and confirmation of total coliforms and E.coli in 24 hours or less. The examination of water for microbial pollution is a major health undertaking. Drinking water supplies, swimming pools and spas are all regularly monitored for the indicator organism Escherichia coli (E.coli). Currently there are two accepted methods in use – Multiple Tube fermentation (MTF) and Membrane Filtration (MF). Both are designed to enumerate the secondary indicator group, total coliforms. There are several drawbacks to these current methods of bacteriological testing – in particular the time taken to generate confirmed positive results, usually two to five days. Moreover, the subjective nature of interpreting results, the lengthy and labour intensive procedure involved and the susceptibility to interference by non-coliform heterotrophic bacteria, all detract from these methods. The Coliform Testing System A simple, reliable technique is required which eliminates these drawbacks and enables the rapid, confirmed enumeration of both total coliforms and more importantly, E. coli. Colitag is a pre-dispensed dry blended reagent formulation containing salts, nitrogen and carbon sources and specific indicator/nutrients for total coliform and E. coli. Positive samples are detected by a visible colour change. Performing the Coliform test is simple. The reagent is supplied in pre-measured dosage tubes for dispensing into sterile containers. Simply fill a sterile tube to the level, mix and then incubate at 35 ° C. The formation of a yellow colour in 24 hours or less indicates the presence of total coliforms. Positive tubes are then checked for the presence of E.Coli by looking for fluorescence under UV light. The Colitag™ Principle In theory, coliforms are organisms that are closely related to E.Coli. Since E.Coli is present in the digestive tract, and not in the general environment, this organism is used as an indicator of Faecal contamination in water or food samples. Colitag™ incorporates a three stage process for definitive coliform testing. ONPG test indicates the presence of beta-galactosidase (unique characteristic of of coliform in general; coliforms utilise lactose to produce gas or acid. MUG test to identify the presence of beta-glucuronidase (unique characteristic of E.Coli). But one third of E.Coli are MUG-negative, meaning they do not have this enzyme in their metabolic pathway. Indole test – a second test specific for E.Coli, in case the MUG fails to identify the presence of E.Coli You cannot rely on the MUG test alone to identify the E.Coli in a sample. The solution is to incorporate the Indole test in the media, but since lactose would interfere with the Indole test, ONPG is substituted. A single inoculation can be performed with less than 2 minutes hands-on time. Conclusive results are available in 24 hours or less without the need for confirmatory tests or sub-cultures. This breakthrough has been made possible by recent developments in defined substrate technology. This enables the simultaneous detection of total coliforms and E.coli by a simple colour reaction. Simply add water, incubate and read. Total coliforms are identified by a yellow colour in the incubated sample, E.coli is confirmed by fluorescence observed under UV light. Colitag™ is a Trademark of CPI International Inc. >>>

Sample is drawn into the EZ TOC by the source pump, and continuously sampled by a feed pump to a scrubbing column, where dilute phosphoric acid converts inorganic carbon compounds to CO2 which is removed by sparging. The scrubbed sample is pumped to the UV reactor where organic carbon compounds are oxidized to CO2 by interaction of the sample with the UV light, carrier gas, and concentrated persulfate. The CO2 is dried and measured by a non-dispersive infrared detector (NDIR), and the value converted to TOC in mg/L. Up to eight programmable relays can provide a remote indication of system operation and report trouble conditions. A fail-safe shutdown feature prevents damage in case of a malfunction. Manual inhibit buttons let you disable alarms, hold an analog output at the current reading, or bypass scheduled cleaning and calibrations. In addition to being a continuous on-line process analyzer, the EZ TOC allows you to conveniently measure grab samples using the Manual SampleValve. Standard Features Analysis method complies with USEPA, ASTM, ISO and CEN standards for TOC determination. Flexible four-motor pump system. Advanced hydraulics allow for unlimited number of ranges between 10 mg/l and 10,000 mg/l TOC. Four separate, programmable form Type C relays can be activated on up to 18 parameters monitored, including two alarm levels, loss of sample or gas flow, leak detection and more. User-selectable and scalable 4-20 mA or 0-20 mA output. RS-232 digital output. Large, backlit display makes it easy to check operating status in low light conditions without opening the door. Built-in reagent timer alerts the operator of upcoming chemical requirements. Programmable, automatic cleaning and calibration cycles provide accurate, low-maintenance operation. High efficiency single-lamp UV reactor reduces costs and provides positive indication of lamp failure, instead of producing inaccurate data as occurs when a lamp fails in a multi-lamp system. Enhanced NDIR detector uses the same infrared sources and detectors for the sample and reference cells, providing a stable, low-noise CO2 detection. Applications Increase the efficiency of water/wastewater treatment to reduce process costs in both industrial and municipal applications. Provide warning of organic spills, to protect expensive processes and equipment in addition to monitoring for regulatory compliance. BUCKLE MITIGATION BUOYANCY

    BUCKLE MITIGATION BUOYANCY

Buckle mitigation buoyancy A further form of distributed buoyancy is used for buckle mitigation purposes. If a pipeline is carrying high temperature product it is inevitable that expansion will occur along the steel pipe. Longitudinal expansion can turn into a buckling situation with catastrophic results. To mitigate this phenomenon designers incorporate pre-determined buoyant zones along the pipeline to control such occurrences. In a typical 25 year design life, buckle mitigation modules may travel over 15km of seabed and, for this reason, the external coating must be highly abrasion resistant. Balmoral’s finishing materials are ideally suited to this purpose. >>>

    CONTROLSTIK II™ - MODEL 597

    CONTROLSTIK II™ - MODEL 597

The Myron L CONTROLSTIK II Rinse Tank System dramatically reduces the amount of water used in continuous flow rinse tanks. At the same time, it automatically maintains optimum water purity, ensuring effective rinsing. Since water flows only when parts are rinsed, you save money on water bills, sewer use charges, and waste water treatment expenses. Applications Continuous-flow rinse tanks Circuit board manufacturing Electroplating Wastewater Features IP65 / NEMA 4X Rating Water and Corrosion Resistant Enclosure 316 Stainless Steel Hardware Reliable Solid-State Electronics Automatic Temperature Compensation to 25ºC / 77ºF up to 82ºC / 180ºF Valve Features Anti-Hammer Closing and Conduit Connector, Adjustable Flow Control and Manual Override How it works The three parts of the CONTROLSTIK II System are easily installed. The CONTROLSTIK II (conductivity sensor) is set at a tolerable contamination level and submerged in the tank. Water cannot flow into the tank until drag-in from rinsed parts causes the contamination level in the tank to rise above the pre-set point. The CONTROLSTIK II (sensor) then signals the solenoid valve to open, adding fresh water. As soon as this fresh water dilutes the contamination to the tolerable pre-set level, the CONTROLSTIK II (sensor) closes the valve. Engineering Specifications Rinse water usage shall be minimized by means of automatic conductivity control systems. They shall consist of a temperature compensated conductivity sensor, corrosion resistant one-inch solenoid valve and transformer box which safely reduces line power to the probe and sensor. Enclosure shall be fiberglass with heavy rubber gasket and 316 stainless steel. Circuitry shall be solid-state and unaffected by changes in voltage between 105 and 125 volts. Setpoint adjustment shall be on sensor to minimize tampering. Rinse tank controls shall be Myron L Model 597 or approved equal. >>>
