Anything that moves is exhibiting behaviour, and mostl behaviours are predictable, regular and expected. This can apply as much to a person going about their business as it can to a vehicle, a roulette wheel or a queue of customers in a bank.
Some behaviours are very subtle and in these situations there is no substitute for the trained eye of an experienced CCTV operator, however many behaviours are entirely mundane and theri analysis can be easily automated; it is these situations where Ipsotek’s intelligent analytics can prove to be the most effective, providing vigilance 24 hours per day without tiring, at a fraction of the cost of additional staff to constantly watch video.
Behaviours such as persons approaching a secure perimeter or loitering in a car park are ideal candidates for automation, though the Ipsotek approach goes far beyond this. By using scenario based detection, several simultaneous or sequenced events or behaviours can be specified within a scene to describe a complex event or behaviour of interest. In our example of a person loitering in a car park, this behaviour on its own is in most cases, totally innocent, (as any person spending a few moments loading a car would need to loiter by the vehicle). However a person pausing by several cars in a car park in sequence (such as someone likely to break into a vehicle) could well be of interest to the managers of the car park who could then react to an alert, whereas they could not normally allocate resources to constantly monitor CCTV of all the camera views. This is the power of scenario based detection which can distinguish the innocent user of the car park from the potential thief and in that case alert security to take action often before a theft has actually occured.
In many environments, such as analysing the way that people behave when they enter the lobby of a bank or identifying congestion build-up on the highways, it would be impossible to gather and interpret this information cost effectively without automating the process.

This very robust heavy-duty camera can be easily hidden in almost any terrain. It incorporates a powerful black light capable of illuminating a very large area, however, this infra-red light is invisible to the naked eye so even in complete darkness, an intruder will be completely unaware that they are being observed as clearly as if they were operating in daylight.
The system is battery operated and very efficient. It switches on to record automatically when it senses movement and the infra-red light only operates when daylight falls below a certain level.
The recorded video evidence is captured on a battery powered DVR or VCR housed in a waterproof case. Subject to the type of lens fitted, the camera will comfortably read a vehicle's registration plate at 40 to 50 metres.

The intelligent AMC-110 is AMC’s latest offering for applications requiring the added reassurance of Watchdog and System Monitoring facilities in critical, fail-safe PC/AT applications. The board not only offers a Watchdog Timer function but also monitors a whole host of system parameters such as out of range voltages, temperature, fan fail together with external alarm inputs. The board can also generate numerous outputs both relay and TTL levels. For remote diagnosis the card has an RS-232 asynchronous serial port for system interrogation over a modem connection.
