RAD's UltiBurr™ 625 Compliant Deburring Tool saves you money by increasing machine uptime, reducing scrap, and shortening robot* programming time: The compliant spindle enables the cutting bit to follow the part profile and compensate for surface irregularities without gouging the part, leaving unwanted burrs on the edge, or breaking the tip. The compliance feature of the UltiBurr™ Deburring Tool will accommodate for deviations between the robot path and tool edge so the programmers have to program fewer path points. This savings is multiplied in operations where several passes are necessary in order to achieve the desired result. I-tec®SLOTT: Keeps tools with shank tolerances of h9 process-sure Shanks out of the h6 tolerance, as for example taps, can now be clamped safely in shrink fit chucks as well. To cover larger tolerances, the shrink fit chuck is slotted at the shrink fit. This makes the application more flexible with regard to the clamping diameter and the material to be clamped. From h6 to h9 all shank diameters of steel, HSS or ceramics can be clamped. The tool is clamped by a sleeve shrunk over it. Thus the transferable torque, the stiffness as well as the concentricity are considerably better compared with usual holders. Also shank diameters smaller than 6 mm are no problem for the i-tec®SLOTT technology independent of their shank material. >>>

A bed-limiter is positioned inside the tower, directly above a randomly packed bed to confine any upward movement of packing. Maintaining a level top surface on the bed is important, especially if the vapour load is sufficient to fluidise the top of the bed under certain conditions. Packing lifted up towards the distributor affects both liquid and vapour distribution and increases entrainment. For 1” and larger packings, the bed limiter, in its simplest form, consists of a grid of flat bars welded to a ring. The spacing of the bars determines the percent open area. Vector Series abrasive flow machines have been redesigned through a joint effort between Extrude Hone Corporation and its customers. Over three hundred existing machine customers were contacted to provide input concerning a new machine design. The customers were asked for suggestions concerning machine operation, ease of maintenance, ergonomics and safety. The result is an extremely flexible Vector series that is capable of polishing large extrusion and forming dies, multiple workpieces at one time, and production deburring. The working tabletop has been lowered and enlarged, to accommodate bulky and heavy components. The abrasive media cylinders can be provided in sizes ranging from a 4 inch diameter to 12 inch diameter. The Vector and the Vector HP offer a choice of pressure ranges to meet specific production requirements.
