Pressure or leak testing is generally used to test that a filter cartridge or canister has been sealed effectively. Tooling is placed over both the input and output section af the filter and the canister pressurised. Depending on how well the canister is sealed, the pressure will decay over time and a figure for the pressure decay is obtained. Even the best filters will show a minute decay and parameters can be set within the test equipment to detect this.This system can also be used to test the sealing system that the filter is connected by and so not only tests the filter, but the system that the filter is used in.If required, these parameters can be used for pass/fail criteria and the results may be recorded to databases etc. for production history data. >>>
