PEACH SLICER

The Peach Slicer illustrated incorporates the latest ideas in canning machinery design. It permits ready access to all the working parts and allows for easy cleaning, adjustment and maintenance. Both the blade and the drive covers are hinged to provide protection and fast access. The cutlery type stainless steel knives are a large diameter for a longer cutting life. Each knife has a double beveled edge and knives are held in quickly assembled, sealed cartridges with grease lubricated ball bearings. Bearing arms are attached to a compact mounting plate and are individually adjustable for raising and lowering cutting edges. Knives are driven from a countershaft by polycord belts and the mounting plates are predrilled to take either a three and four blade or a four and a five blade assembly. Peach halves entering the slicer are fed by a separate, 3 lane cup down shaker fitted with rubber bushed shaker arms and enclosed roller bearing shaker eccentrics. Balance masses compensate most of the undesirable reactions, providing a smooth and steady action. Grote's Sectoring Slicers cuts product logs lengthwise into halves, quarters, or eighths to turn a single log into multiple pieces. By sectoring product logs, folding, trimming, and overhang of product are prevented. This machine is ideal for quartering pepperoni for French bread pizzas. Logs from 1" to 5" in diameter can be accomodated, to cut logs as narrow as pepperoni and as wide as bologna. Up to 500 logs per hour can be sectored.
