DeCAL 5011 is a complex mixture of oils and low foam emulsifiers. It does not contain silicone oil or alkyl phenol ethoxylates. DeCAL 5011 exhibits excellent stability to both shear and temperature. DeCAL 5011 is a more effective version of DeCAL 5010 for use in demanding applications. 1. Typical Properties: Activity - 100% Physical form - Pale yellow liquid pH diluted with water - 7 - 8 Ionic character - Nonionic Predilution - Emulsifies readily with water 2. Application: DeCAL 5011 is a non silicone based product which has stability in high temperature equipment. DeCAL 5011 dispersibility in the process liquor should be checked in-situ before use. >>>

DECAL 5030 - NON SILICONE DEFOAMER

Foam Control Agent for Emulsion Paints and Coatings. DeCAL 5030 has been specifically developed to reduce air entrainment during the manufacture and application of water based paints and adhesives. 1.Typical Properties: Chemical Type - Mineral Hydrocarbons, Silica and surface active materials. Appearance - Amber opaque liquid Solubility - Imiscible in water Viscosity - < 1000cPs at 20C by Contraves TV Viscometer Ionic character - Nonionic Particle size - Passed through 400 micron screen 2.Application and use: DeCAL 5030 has long lasting efficiency – particularly useful where “in can” life is important. It is also useful in the Paper Industry for clay / latex and starch size press coatings. DeCAL 5030 is normally used as delivered. In emulsion paint systems we recommend adding half to the pigment grind and the balance to the final blending. The level of addition recommended is 0.1 – 0.5% depending on the severity of the foam problems. >>>

SILICONE - DECAL 5110

DeCAL 5110 is a newly developed silicone based defoamer suitable for application at elevated temperatures and pressures as well as under atmospheric conditions. DeCAL 5110 is a silicone based antifoaming agent with an emulsifying system which is effective at temperatures up to 130°C. 1. Typical Properties: DeCAL 5110 Gives excellent de-foaming and foam prevention properties to all types of surface active agents in aqueous media. A carefully selected emulsifying system allows it to be used in high temperature and pressure processing, 2. Application: It is advisable to dilute DeCAL 5110 with water before adding to the bulk liquor. For maximum efficiency we would recommend diluting the product with 8-12 parts of cool soft deionised water. The water should be added slowly to the antifoam with low shear mixing. The dilution should be used within 12 hours. It is recommended that 200 ppm (0.2 g/l) is used initially and the results obtained will indicate whether a further addition is required. >>>
