POWER PACK EN 70 / EN 70 LC / EN 70 RLC
The high-voltage power pack EN 70 / EN 70 LC / EN 70 RLC is a powerful and hardwearing unit. Its design fulfills all electrical engineering requirements. The EN 70 / EN 70 LC / EN 70 RLC power pack
is used in fast-running machines in combination with tandem ionizing bars. It is equipped with two transformers which operate by 180° out of phase and four high-voltage terminals each. Any surface charges which might disrupt production will be removed reliably and effictively using the HAUG ionizing unit – even at high operation sppeds.
The power pack EN 70 RLC has two additionally relay contacts for fault signals.
The watchdog function integrated into the secondary are serves to indicate any drop below the corona inception voltage by means of a flashing LED
The HAUG System X-2000 coaxial high-voltage plug-and-socket connection offers a unique benefit. The airtight high-voltage plug can be connected to HAUG power packs without any tools. The highly flexible coaxially shielded safety cable is used to connect the ionizing unit to the voltage supply source.
Due to its round design, the tandem ionizing bar EI RD / EI VD / EI HRD allows a pin-point rotary adjustment to the running direction of the material. The ionizing bar is absolutely safe to touch. Low-wear special electrodes ensure a long service life. The design fulfills the most significent requirements imposed by the mechanical engineering industry.

Functional principle of a tandem ionizing system
The example given is based on a web speed V = 900 m/min. The bars are mounted at a distance of 300 mm and designated S1 and S2. These designations are also indicated on the relevant voltage curves. The ionizing effect is indicated for times t1 and t2.
Tandem ionizing bars are also suitable for machine speeds of =150 m/min
Recomendation
HAUG power packs EN 70 and EN 70 LC should be used in combination with tandem ionizing bars mounted above and below the material web.

POWER PACK EN 8 LC
The EN 8 LC power pack supplies voltage to ionizers. The mains voltage is transformed into a 7–8 kV alternating current by a high-voltage transformer.
The EN 8 LC power pack represents the state of
the art. The monitoring which is integrated in the secondary area indicates that the partial discharge inception voltage (= start of effect of ionization units / ill.1) is too low by making the monitoring LED blink (ill.2). The compact printed circuit board technology ensures reliability and ease of maintenance. The device has four gas-tight high-voltage connections and has been manufactured in accordance with protection type IP 54, protection class 1 as per VDE.

POWER PACK NF 45 AND IONIZING BAR NFA
The combination of power pack NF 45 and ionizing abr NFA was developed specifically for use on fast running machines. The power pack NF 45 automatically adjusts the discharging frequency (400–800
Hz) to the connected bar length. The higher frequency of the power pack NF 45 ensures a high decoupled current and therefore fast, even discharge of the material. Still, the ionizing bar NFA is absolutely safe to touch.
The compact aluminum housing allows the NF 45 to be used in locations where space is at a premium. The ionzing bar NFA which is adapted to the NF 45 can be connected directly or using a connection cable. Only the ionizing bar NFA can be connected to any one NF 45.
Power pack NF 45 RLC
The functions of power pack NF 45 RLC are identical of those of power pack NF 45, but the NF 45 RLC is characterized by a different arrangement of the external ports. In addition to the signaling socket, an error message can be output. Following an overload (switch-off of high voltage), the NF 45 RLC automatically performs a readjustment.
Function
The power pack NF 45 / NF 45 RLC is supplied with a low voltage of 24 VAC / 30 VDC. This required supply voltage can often be supplied directly from the machine. A series transformer with connection facility for up to five power packs.
The NF 45 / NF 45 RLC is available as accessory for all customary mains voltages (230 VAC / 115 VAC).
Special features and advantages
Due to its low weight, the power pack NF 45 / NF 45 RLC can be attached using the enclosed retaining plate, e.g. on swivel or robot arms. The ionizing bar NFA is connected to the unit using the proven, patented, gas-tight coaxial high-voltage connector system X-2000 NFA.
The ionizing bar can be assembled without the need for tools. The operating status of the power pack is indicated by an LED (green = bar has been adjusted to the maximum power / orange = bar is adjusting itself to optimum power).
Cleaning and maintenance
Regular use of HAUG special cleaning agent SRM 1 and cleaning kit RS 1 will ensure consistently high efficiency of the ionizing bar NFA.
