Polaron’s Universal 3 phase chokeless dimmer racks offer uncompromised adaptability for all load types. Universal dimmer racks auto detect the load type for each channel and dynamically provides either leading or trailing edge control An RS232 interface is built in to the racks as standard for easy system configuration and third party control. The racks also incorporate a fail-safe alarm input, which sends all lights to full when operated. An in-built timer allows for up to 200 system-wide timed events to be set per rack. The Lightlink range of MDA analogue dimmer units is ideally suited for the smaller installation where 1 or 2 channels of lighting control is required, such as reception areas or cinema auditoriums for house lighting. The Lightlink compact dimmer pack has been developed to provide a range of budget power handling packs whilst incorporating the flexibility and performance of the Lightlink scene-setting software. A seamless bi-directional link to most third party systems via an open protocol is available as an option. The packs are available in seven configurations and accept a single-phase supply with power handled by substantial SCR's with high speed fuse protection. Power distribution is incorporated to provide input power isolation and output circuit MCB protection. Polaron’s new IGBT dimmer pack provides the optimum dimming output for electronic LV transformers. Each rack can control up to 4 x 5Amp lighting circuits and in addition, features 1-10Vdc dimming on each channel. Also included is a multiple event timer, direct alarm inputs and the ability to seamlessly integrate with AV systems. An RS232 port is provided for easy system configuration and third party control. The pack also incorporates a fail-safe alarm input, which sends all lights to full when selected. The on-board multiple event timer allows up to 200 system-wide events to be stored. The pack comes complete with a ten button remote control plate with two choices of fascia finish and an infra-red sceneset/select transmitter. Custom Rack MCD/AT/10-16 Polaron's latest addition to its family of IGBT dimming racks is the flexible, custom built, plug-in modular MCD/AT/10-16 range. This design allows a mixture of input and output protection / distribution as well as essential auto-changeover circuitry to be integrated within the rack eliminating the need for external distribution boards. IGBT power handing devices provide the optimum dimming characteristic regardless of lamp / load type connected (see 'dimmable load types'), and eliminate the need for noisy RFI inductors (chokes). A range of rack sizes accepting from 8 to 64 x 10 or 16 Amp dimmers, provides one of the largest single rack systems available. These racks are natural convection cooled, requiring no fans or forced cooling. The MCD/U range is loaded with exciting modern features as listed below.
