Thanks to its single frame design, the Axis easily accommodates 5, 6 and 7-inch strokes and runs from 900 to 1500 rpm. Interchangeable parts add even more flexibility, allowing you to change a crankshaft or modify a piston, all in a matter of days, rather than weeks.

At 50% lighter than a traditional box frame, this exclusive design offers all kinds of advantages. Extremely precise machining, exceptional stiffness, the total elimination of unreliable tie bars come to mind, all of which contribute to much stronger, more trouble-free compressor performance than ever.
* ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY LUBRICATION SYSTEM
We’ve eliminated tubing runs inside the frame; rather, oil flows very efficiently through pipe embedded in casting. This internal, sealed oil system is the secret to eliminating leaks long term. It’s also what makes the Axis the only green machine in its class.
* EXCLUSIVE PISTON HEAD DESIGN
Reducing the number of parts from five to one makes all the difference: Assembly is simplified with absolutely no pre-stress required. Thermal growth is significantly more uniform. And because there’s so little distortion, this lightweight hollow piston experiences a lot less wear and tear. Patent pending.

The most unique aspect is the engineering excellence that has gone into building an air compressor of such small dimensions and yet capable of supplying compressed air for industrial applications. It is almost unimaginable that a screw air compressor with rotors of diameter 28 mm and 35mm can give an output of compressed air ranging from 1 to 300 lpm. Besides the range of compressed air output, the ELGI Micro Rotary Compressor's other desirable characteristics include high efficiency, low noise, and high reliability. This small compressor is a true display of ELGI's exceptional design and manufacturing capability.
Ideally this compressor is designed to give 33 lpm of compressed air at a rotor speed of 2880 rpm, with a power consumption rate of just 0.22 kW. The ELGI Micro Rotary Compressor can also be applied for heavy-duty applications with rotor speeds of up 20,000 rpm, producing proportionally larger volumes of compressed air. The ELGI Micro Rotary Compressor has a minimum life of about 100,000 hours, which is fifteen times greater than a reciprocating compressor of the same power range.
