FLAGPOOL - PVC POOL LINERS
PVC-P was first used for swimming-pool liners in 1977, since when there has been a continuous and rapid rise in its use; today it accounts for some 65% of the market. In fact, two out of three
swimming pools made in Europe today are lined in PVC-P.PVC-P liners have obvious advantages when compared with traditional systems. The choice of PVC-P allows the structureto be made in thinner, more streamlined concrete which has only a structural function, leaving the waterproofing to thePVC-P liner. This results in lower construction costs and quicker completion.Costs are also reduced in the medium term because there is none of the maintenance that is necessary with painted ortiled surfaces. Speed of installation, especially in comparison with traditional ceramic coatings, is another of the strengthsof PVC-P liners, especially for public projects (water parks, public swimming pools, residential pools, pools with wave machines, etc.).The flexibility of this technology means that the lining can be used for free-form swimming-pools of even very complex shape, both skimmer and overflow edge types. PVC-P liners can be used either as the whole lining of the pool or combined with prefabricated structures with previously-waterproofed walls.

FOAMED PROFILE
The demand for stronger aluminium profile is growing. In areas where steel would normally be the first choice as a base material, the strong advantages of profile technology are being realised.
mk
has developed foamed profile technology, which can turn a combination of small profiles into completely new, large profiles, with remarkable strength. From our experience in this technology, mk can make these special profiles to order. The general principle of the mk system (using clamps, screws for tension plugs) is that the system is totally modular and can be completely assembled and disassembled as and when required. However with foamed profiles, once the configuration has been filled with foam then they are permanently connected.
This technology uses combinations of standard profiles, put together to make new profile configurations and then the cavities are filled with foam. The pressure on the profiles that the foam produces holds them together and gives the new profile its strength. The foam is FCKW free expanding polyurethane foam with an expanded density of 0.035Kg/dm³
Typical applications for foamed profile are in mechanical structures like columns, beams for portals and machine bodies. They are especially suitable to be used as axis in large linear motion systems like profiling and
cutting machines and do not normally require any face milling.
Foam profiles are a lot more compact in size compared to it’s traditional equivalent, constructed from the more usual methods of cross profiles and bracing profiles. An additional advantage of foamed profile its high vibration absorption qualities. The foam however is only a connecting method and does not increase the overall toughness of the profile configuration.
