    Many access control applications require a machine to completely stop before access is permitted. The TKI range of solenoid controlled and time delay interlocks will only release trapped keys for transfer to the door interlock, after the stop signal has been received from the machine control panel or after a pre-set time has elapsed. Features includes: stainless locks and keys heavy-duty continuously rated solenoids dual channel safety timers and status lamp indicators Panel and surface mounted options available. Typical application using time delay unit HST-T time delay unit Coded key Operation of a time delay unit Under normal operating conditions the keys are trapped in the time delay unit. To release the keys a machine stop signal from the machine control panel starts the electronic timer. After a pre-determined time, the timer energises an internal solenoid which enables the keys to be sequentially released. Turning and releasing the first key opens the contacts to an internal switch that opens the machine start circuit – preventing a restart of the machine until all keys have been returned to the unit. The keys can now be transferred to the gate interlocks controlling access into the hazardous area. >>>
