FD-E DIRECT FIRED OVEN BURNERS
Lanemark FD-E series packaged burners are designed to offer low cost, high turn-down (gas only) control for process air heating applications in convection ovens and dryers.
FD-E series burners are
particularly suited to direct-fired applications and can be mounted directly on to the wall of a dryer, oven or process air heating duct to operate either in line with or at 90°to the process air flow.
FD-E series burners produce short flame profiles – so important for industrial oven design. Combustion air and gas is progressively mixed within the internal burner cone assembly, guaranteeing stable combustion over a wide range of oven/dryer process air flows.
Specifications:
FD-E burners comprise a burner windbox, combustion air fan, a manual sliding damper fitted between the combustion air fan and the air entry flange on the burner windbox, a compact monobloc valve gas train and gas burner controls mounted on a control plate.
Standard control items include a burner controller, ignition transformer and differential air pressure switch. Two 3-way air valves perform safety checks on the air pressure switch in both open and closed modes each time the burner fires, allowing the independent operation of the combustion air fan in conjunction with oven/dryer main recirculation fans.

Lanemark FD-C series packaged burners are specifically designed to offer flexible, high turn-down (gas only) control for process air heating applications in convection ovens and dryers.
FD-C series

combustion efficiency and minimum emissions are of prime importance.
FD-E (GA) series burners are particularly suited to direct-fired applications and can be mounted directly on to the wall of a dryer, oven or process air heating duct to operate either in line with or at 90°to the process air flow.
FD-E (GA) burners utilise the latest ‘air pressure lead’ (APL) monobloc gas valve technology. The drive motor of the combustion air damper interfaces directly with external plant temperature control equipment.
Movement of the combustion air damper increases or decreases the burner windbox differential air pressure and these pressure changes are transmitted to the master gas control valve, simultaneously adjusting the gas flow rate. This ensures that safe and efficient gas/air ratios are maintained at all times, even under variable plant operating conditions.
Two main advantages of this control method result:
1. Alternative fixed gas/air valve linkage control arrangements are not capable of making these gas flow adjustments in direct response to changing plant conditions.
2. There are no mechanical linkages between the gas and combustion air control valves/dampers. On process plants mechanical linkages are prone to moving ‘out of adjustment’ or in extreme cases ‘sticking’ which can lead to potentially dangerous combustion conditions.

AQUATHERM FIRESTOP
Aquatherm Firestop offers the user an extensive range of pipes and fittings for the installation of fire sprinkler systems*.
The system is based on a fibre reinforced polypropylene pipe (faser
composite pipe) produced in a multi-layer extrusion process.
The material fusiolen® PP-R (80) FS used for the production of these pipes, is a plastic whose profile of properties is designed for the special demands of the field of application. Both the installer’s request for an easier processing and the demand for highest possible safety in later application was taken into account during its development.
Aquatherm Firestop is:

Prevents the clogging up of the sprinkler with corrosion products. This is ensuring a long, low-maintenance service life as well as trouble-free function of the system.
Pipes and fittings are certified under the registration no. 684a of LPCB according to guideline LPS 1260 for the use as pipe system for sprinkler installations.

General rules for the use of plastic pipes as sprinkler lines (according to LPCB)
In connection with the use of aquatherm Firestop, the following is to be observed. The “scope of use” of plastic pipe shall be agreed between the plastic suppliers, purchaser/installer, authority having jurisdiction, and/or insurer in accordance with document supplier “Installation Instructions” but subject to the following criteria taking precedence.
Use of plastic pipe and fittings is subject to water authority agreement for the territory concerned.
LPCB approved quick response sprinklers shall be used with exposed (i.e. fire exposure) plastic pipe and fittings.
Plastic pipe and fittings are suitable for use only with wet pipe systems.
Use of additives is only permitted in accordance with the manufacturers installation instructions.
Care should be exercised to ensure that joints are adequately cured, in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation instructions, prior to pressurisation.
Plastic pipe and fittings shall not be installed outdoors.
Not suitable for drinking water.
Where plastic pipe and fittings are exposed (i.e. fire exposure), the system shall be installed close to a flat ceiling construction.
Sprinkler systems which employ plastic pipe and fittings shall be designed where possible to ensure there are no ‘no flow’ sections of pipework in the event of sprinkler operation.
The system of pipes must be installed in accordance with the aquatherm installation instructions, which include the LPCB conditions of use agreed with aquatherm.
The maximum normal ambient temperature of use shall not exceed 70° C.
The products shall only be installed by LPCB certificated or registered installing companies (see Part 5, Section 1A and 1B above) or by firms outside the UK who can provide evidence of personnel training in the installation of the product. It is recommended that firms engaged in the installation of this product are also be certificated to ISO 9000.
