The standard compliance wrists (Model FM-G) are used with small payloads and slow moving sequences. The installation of two overload bolts (Model FM-Ü) limits oscillations when travelling. Further advantages are obtained with locking and torsion protection: With shorter cycle times and higher handling speeds as well as with all insertion operations which take place horizontially, the compliance wrist should be equipped with a pneumatic cylinder (Model FM-P). The compliance can be locked with the integrated pneumatic cylinder when travelling. The installation of a torsion protection is necessary for transmission of torsion mements and when inertial forces lead to torsion moments with rotation and swivel movements. This includes access to the Installer's 24 hour emergency call out and service, but excludes the cost of any corrective maintenance which will be charged on a time and materials basis, unless materials are provided free of charge under initial Guarantee - see Condition 7. (FRCP is available to 4000mm) About CP Racks & Pinions The reference pitch of a metric module is computed by multiplying the number of module by p (3.14159). For example, the reference pitch of m3 rack is 9.425mm (3×p). When using a rack and a pinion in a linear motion application, the fact that the pitch is not an integral number presents a difficulty in accurate positioning. This problem is solved by CP racks and pinions where one rotation of a pinion moves it precisely 50, 100, 150, … or 600mm.
