ANTI-REFLECTIVE GLASS - AMIRAN®
AMIRAN® is an optical interference anti-reflective glass, dip-coated on both sides, with a residual reflection of approximately 1%. In cases where there is a drastic difference in the level of light
in front of and behind ordinary glass, it is usually quite difficult to view objects outside from the inside. In order to avoid these negative effects, more and more users are turning to AMIRAN®, the nearly invisible glass from SCHOTT.

SCHOTT MIROGARD® has gained a reputation all over the world for guaranteeing the highest possible viewing enjoyment with art. This high-grade special glass is manufactured using the Sol-Gel process in the world’s most advanced dip-coating plant. It is absolutely color-neutral and free from irritating reflections. In other words: when viewed under normal circumstances, SCHOTT MIROGARD® glass is as good as invisible. Virtually no reflections
Conventional glass reflects about 8% of light. This results in an undesirable mirror effect. With SCHOTT’s optical interference coated anti-reflective glass, reflections are reduced to about approx. 1%. In other words, they almost disappear completely.
Maximum transparency
Normal glass allows for light transmission of only 91%. With SCHOTT MIROGARD®, this figure increases to 99%. In other words, MIROGARD®, MIROGARD®plus and MIROGARD Protect® are nearly invisible under normal viewing circumstances. The result: the brilliance of colors in works of art is reproduced without any losses in quality.
UV radiation protection
All types of SCHOTT MIROGARD® glass reduce UV radiation by absorption and/or reflection. Depending on the level of protection required, different versions of these products are available.

Product Description
Cylindrical
glass-to-metal quartz seals are an electronic package for tuning fork oscillators and high frequency quartz crystal. The product consists of a cap and base with two lead pins. Cylindrical types are used in all-weather applications (requiring properties such as air-tightness and electrical insulation), thereby placing a high demand on the hermetic seal.

RADIATION SHIELDING GLASSES RD 50 - RD 30
Optimal radiation protection
If rays penetrate the human tissue, there is risk of damage to the tissue and organs. RD 50® and RD 30, by SCHOTT, provide optimum protection, as they contain a high
percentage of lead oxide, which absorbs the rays.
In RD 50®, the number "50" refers to a minimum density of 5.05 g/cm³.
In RD 30, the number "30" refers to a minimum desity of 3.13 g/cm³.
The selection of which glass is appropriate is determined by the lead equivalent required for the particular application.
Health protection
Radiation Shielding Glasses RD 50 and RD 30 provide the best protection for:
Technicians monitoring the x-ray process in medicine and industry
Technicians at mammography work stations (i.e. cancer therapy)
Technicians in research and development (i.e. "glove-box")
The selection of RD 50® or RD 30 is dependant on the allowable dose of radiation for the particular application.

Glass versus synthetic (acrylic) material
X-ray protection glass RD 50 / RD 30 is much thiner and lighter than acrylic materials with a comparable lead equivalency.
