OPTICAL INSPECTION STAGE DESIGN

OPTICAL INSPECTION STAGE DESIGN

DSM has designed a novel linear optical inspection stage with sub-micron positioning capability. The stage's high resolution and accurate linear motion make it ideally suited for demanding inspection and machine vision applications. The inspection stage may be operated via open loop stepper control or with image contrast feedback to aid focusing control. Displacement feedback may also be easily integrated into the system for more rigorous position control. This stage employs air bearing guided motion for a stiff, friction free, precision motion platform. The digital camera and 10x magnifying optic acquire a 1280x1024-pixel image over a physical area of approximately 500 µm2. Other optical and camera combinations may be integrated to accommodate the needs of a particular application. This system has been successfully used to inspect and qualify the front and back of micro-sized through-features in a machined work piece for location accuracy and feature integrity. The inspection stage's high-resolution motion capability enables the system to focus on a through-feature's edge transitions utilizing contrast feedback from the camera. HALL-EFFECT ROTARY POSITION SENSOR - RPNR050DMEC3A21X

RPNR050DMEC3A21X RPN Series, redundant (dual) output style, 50° (±25°) operating range, channel 1: 4 mA (left), 20 mA (right); channel 2: 0.5 Vdc (left), 4.75 Vdc (right) output signal, channel 1: 8.5 Vdc; channel 2: 5 Vdc supply voltage, ±0.35° linearity, AMP 1-1419168-1 termination, flat shaft, oval mounting hole, IP69K Actual product appearance may vary. Features Solid-state Hall effect technology Eight operating ranges, up to 360° Variety of supply voltages and output configurations Rugged sealed package with integral connector IP67 or greater Integrated reverse polarity, short circuit and EMC protection Single or dual output versions available Industry-standard termination Potential Applications Position and movement detection of pedals, throttle, gear shift, levers, linkages, suspension and hitches in: Trucks Off road vehicles Industrial vehicles and equipment Construction vehicles and equipment Agricultural vehicles and equipment Cranes Description RPN Series Rotary Position Sensors use a magnetically biased, Hall-effect integrated circuit (IC) to sense rotary movement of the actuator shaft over a set operating range. Rotation of the actuator shaft changes the IC’s position relative to the magnets. The resulting flux density change is converted to a linear output. The IC, together with conditioning and protection circuitry, and two permanent magnets, is sealed in a rugged package of IP67 or greater for durability in most harsh environments. Solid-state Hall-effect technology provides non-contact operation, long service life, low torque actuation and reduced wear-out mechanisms. Eight operating ranges (50°, 60°, 70°, 90°, 120°, 180°, 270° and 360°) are tolerant to over travel and allow use in most common applications. Five different supply voltages and eight different output configurations, in either mA or Vdc, improve compatibility with a variety of control systems. Two versions provide dual outputs for use where an additional output may be desired where redundancy and backup is needed. Another potential application includes using one output for an indicator and the second for the control system. Lever versions are available. The easy-to-mount sensor has a mounting flange with two round or oval mounting holes. All products have AMP or Deutsch receptacles. SENSOR AND CONTROL BECOME A SINGLE SYSTEM

IQ-SENSE SENSOR AND CONTROL BECOME A SINGLE SYSTEM

The newly developed IQ-Sense ® technology offers a complete new concept to intelligently integrate sensors into the automation environment. A maximum of four sensors can be connected, each through a 2-wire cable, to the new "4DI IQ-Sense ®" sensor module for ET 200S.Features:* Intelligent communication between sensors and control* Parameter and diagnostics data of the sensors are available system-wide* Extremely simple interfaces for error-free configuring and wiring* Optimum interaction between sensors and controlIQ-Sense ® offers one other absolutely new feature: System diagnostics, where wire breakage, short-circuit, maladjustment or module/sensor failure are automatically detected and signaled for each channel. Furthermore, gradual dirt accumulation on the optical system is also reliably detected in normal operation - and an alarm is output before a failure so that operation is not interrupted. Both the switching status as well as the diagnostics information are transferred from the sensor to the electronics module along a simple two-wire cable >>>

IMAGING PLATE GUINIER DIFFRACTOMETER 670

IMAGING PLATE GUINIER DIFFRACTOMETER 670

The well established HUBER Guinier Camera 621 has been redesigned to the Model 670 for the use of an image foil instead of the old-fashioned X-ray film. The camera unit includes scan device and erasure lamp. This new type of instrument combines the high resolution of the X-ray film technique with the extreme sensitivity of imaging plates. A decent powder diffractogram from 0° to 50° Theta is obtainable within a couple of minutes, ready for Rietveld-Analysis. The samples are located outside of the closed camera housing. The film cylinder can be evacuated to reduce the air scattering background. The Guinier Camera 670 fits onto the Adjustment Base 601 and can be used with any of the HUBER Guinier Monochromators Series 611/15. The system includes data collection and software running on a standard PC. Options: Flat sample oscillation device 670.1, capillary rotation device 670.2, heater unit 670.3 for use with 670. 2 (requires High Temperature Controller HTC 9634), low temperature attachment 670.4. >>>
