ROCK ANCHORING AND SOIL NAILING - SLOPE STABILISATION

ROCK ANCHORING AND SOIL NAILING - SLOPE STABILISATION

Contracting provide a range of Rock Anchors and Soil Nails for the construction industry, both private and commercial sectors. Rock anchors are generally post tensioned tendons installed and secured into the underlying rock. The anchor force is transmitted to the rock by either cement grout, resin or mechanical means. They can be installed in drill holes with any inclination. Essentially, rock anchors are used for :- Anchorage for retaining walls. Stabilisation of eccentrically loaded foundations Stabilisation of slopes and rock walls or cuts. Systematic rock stabilisation and local supports for underground excavations. Stabilisation for uplift, as for example, structures in ground water. Rock bolting a deep excavation in Newquay, Cornwall Rock bolting the face of a deep excavation in Truro, Cornwall Soil Nails are installed in soil or loose rock, which transfer forces into the ground by means of a steel tendon or bar. Depending on the type of tendon, the anchorage at the stressing end uses a nut and a plate, or wedges and a wedge plate. Essentially, soil anchors are used for :- Anchoring of support structures for excavations, such as sheet piling or trench boxes. Slope stabilisation. Transfer of external tensile forces to the ground such as guy wires for towers. Stabilisation of very eccentrically loaded foundations. Previous projects have included :- Newham, Truro Longdowns, BBC Mast, Guy Wire Anchors Newquay, Rock Bolting Rock Bolting, Shotcreting and Meshing at Meadowbank Road in Falmouth Rock Bolting and Meshing at Feock in Cornwall >>>
