VERTICAL LOCK INSERT MOULDING MACHINE

PCL produce a wide range of standard and special purpose vertical lock split line injection moulding machines, all of which have been specifically designed for insert moulding. The machines can be equipped with single station, sliding table, two station shuttle or multi-station rotary tables. All of them feature direct hydraulic clamping, hydraulic ejection, two stage injection and are screw type, thereby facilitating the processing of a great variety of modern engineering materials including thermoset versions. The shuttle type machines are designed so that the inserts can be hand loaded, which is particularly advantageous for moulding parts that have trailing leads etc., as used in the electrical plug manufacturing industry for example. Alternatively, the rotary table machines are ideally suited to applications where automation equipment is to be fitted, or for multi operator use where two or more inserts are loaded into the same tools. The full range of machines are PLC controlled and embody special design principles such as the 'C' frame configuration of the locking head assembly which eliminates any obstruction from tie bars in the moulding area. Such features, along with high manufacturing standards, assure the user of a totally efficient and reliable full production machine for semi or fully automatic operation. The hydraulic circuit is designed around the Cetop 3 range of valves, these being mounted in the valve compartment underneath the injection unit together with the pressure line filter, variable vane pump, proportional valve & oil tank. Flow control valves are present in all the hydraulic lines enabling speeds to be set as required. This results in a completely flexible system to suit most applications. Proportional controlled injection pressure ensures consistent moulding performance. The vane pump gives reliable performance while keeping noise levels down to a minimum. The new "all electric" series arises from Negri Bossi's experience of the specific application of CANbus technology and the use of electric drives for the plasticising phase in hydraulic machines, combined with a series of innovative design solutions which put it in the vanguard of today's "all electric" products. These are not simply an alternative to the hydraulic machines, but a high performance range capable of satisfying the most diverse moulding requirements in an entirely standardised way. The only items common with the hydraulic series are the basic structure of the toggle and the system architecture built around the "CAN" field bus; all other parts of the machine are essentially new, and in some cases are covered by published or registered trademarks. Important advantages The most important advantages of this system are Two-platen clamping unit with high rigidity and with the minimal deflection of the mould platens. Two-platen technology offering a compact ffodprint with maximum flaxibility of the mould- height and opening stroke. Clamp force generation system positioned on the moving platen (with no obstructions on the fixed platen) providing an entirely symmetrical and uniform apllication of the mould clamping force.
