It is recognised that one of the major causes of damage to works of art, fine furniture, carpets, wall coverings and museum exhibits is light falling on the objects.
Hanwell provide a range of
instruments that enable the conservator to measure the levels of Lux and the UV content of light.
The ml4701 Lux datalogger is part of the 4000 range of advanced data loggers, allowing monitoring of a site, with historical analysis of data.
These instruments provide the conservator with the necessary information to protect their valuable exhibits. Using proven Hanwell technology, measurements can be taken of the amount of visible light (Lux) falling on objects.
The Hanwell Lux data loggers sensor measures in the range 10 to 5000 Lux. This is generally sufficient for conservation environments where a Lux level of over 600 is not normally desired, but higher ranges can be supplied on request. The sensor is calibrated against a reference light meter.
The ml4701 is powered by a single battery, which can be replaced by the user without dismantling the unit.
Each 4000 series transmitter has enough internal memory to store up to 100000 readings and is in fact continually logging. When an object that is being monitored by a 4000 series datalogger goes out on loan the datalogger can travel with the object. When the object returns home the 4000 series unit can be downloaded via the high speed USB connection directly into the PC software. The environmental data for the time that the object has been away will be added to previously stored data, providing a continuous history for that object.
The moulded case allows easy access to the battery and USB socket, as well as having slots to fit onto secure wall brackets.
The ml4000 range has been designed to comply with the RoHS and WEEE EU directives, and carries the CE mark.

DEWE-201 DYNAMIC DATALOGGER
Only 286 x 210 x 88 mm and less than 4 kg - the DEWE-201 is an impressive high-performance DYNAMIC data logger. An internal 4 GB Flash-disk stores acquired data, a 30 GB 'automotive' hard-disk is
also available as an option. Like all Dewetron systems, the DEWE-201 is a rugged, all-metal PC instrument with high quality plug-in signal conditioning, an internal A/D card, and great software. Because it's a regular computer running Windows XP, you can load whatever software you like. It has a DVD-CD-RW drive as standard, so you can burn gigabytes of data to inexpensive media in minutes. Or use the standard Ethernet or USB 2.0 interfaces to transfer data to another computer.
Using the built-in Ethernet interface, the DEWE-201 can be connected to other PCs or Notebooks. Or, several DEWE-201 can be connected together for distributed multi-channel applications. The DEWE-201 can therefore be used as a stand-alone FAST data logger, or as a networked data acquisition instrument.
Processor Power
The integrated Pentium® M CPU offers enough calculating power to do even complex online-mathematics. Each of up to 16 input channels can be sampled individual from 1 up to 500 kS/s, with 16-bit resolution. The input channels can be configured for voltage / current, ICP®, bridge and strain gage measurements. For DSA applications (Dynamic Signal Analysis), an alternative A/D converter with 24-bit resolution, more than 110 dB dynamic and 200 kS/S per channel is available as an option. In addition to digital input and counter / encoder channels, up to several hundred quasi-static channels are available (e.g. for temperature measurements).
Analog is just the beginning!
Further data sources like GPS and CAN-bus can be acquired synchronized with analog and digital data. This features are powered by DEWESoft, a data acquisition software which displays and stores data continuously and/or triggered with pre- and post information.
The system has been verified according to several EN standards. For extreme applications, a wide temperature range from -20 °C to +50 °C has been proven.
The new DEWE-201 fits perfectly into any mobile application, where fast (and slow) data acquisition is required. To name just some examples: brake test in vehicles, mobile shock- and vibration tests, fault recorder, high-speed data logger, and many more.

The AT-SYS-400 is a portable low-pass filter
system designed for data acquisition systems requiring 2 to 32 channels of filtering only and simple manual adjustment of the cutoff frequency using an on-board potentiometer. The system consists of a rack-mountable chassis with space for four AAF-1 filter cards, each offering 2 to 8 channels.
Five standard filter characteristics are available for the AT-SYS-400: Butterworth, Bessel, Cauer, high-speed Cauer, elliptic, linear phase and high-speed linear phase. These filters offer variable cutoff frequencies of 0.1Hz to 200kHz, with the specific range determined by which filter type is selected.

The SENTINEL is a sophisticated yet easy to use data logging and process monitoring communications device. Simply put, it takes various inputs, datalogs them, and then outputs that data, or alarms
derived from it, in a variety of ways. The most immediate is via a Bluetooth link to a mobile phone. In turn this phone can send SMS alerts to any mobile anywhere in the world. Alternatively this can be done via a GSM/GPRS modem. In addition any PC can dial into the SENTINEL process monitor and request its datalogs via the mobile network. The SENTINEL datalogger can also output 4-20mA signals, relays, datalogs via USB, and over the internet or an intranet via TCP/IP. The SENTINEL datalogger process monitor comes in an IP65 (NEMA 4x) enclosure with a power supply suitable for use anywhere in the world. Not only is it more sophisticated than other data loggers and process monitors on the market, it is also less expensive and far simpler to use with no complex setup via a Laptop required.

DATA LOGGERS - ML4703 LUX AND UV
It is recognised that one of the major causes of damage to works of art, fine furniture, carpets, wall coverings and museum exhibits is light falling on the objects.
Hanwell provide a range of
instruments that enable the conservator to measure the levels of Lux and the UV content of light.
The ml4703 Lux & UV datalogger is part of the 4000 range of advanced data loggers, allowing monitoring of a site, with historical analysis of data.
The most damaging part of the light is its ultraviolet (UV) content.Hanwell provide a range of instruments that enable the conservator to measure the levels of Lux and the UV content of light. Measurements can be taken of the proportion of UV present (µW/lumen), the total amount of UV (mW/M2), and the amount of visible light (Lux).
Lux is measured in the range 10 to 5000 Lux. This is generally sufficient for conservation environments where a Lux level of over 600 is not normally desired, but higher ranges can be supplied on request. The UV range is 20 to 2000 µW/Lumen.
Each 4000 logger has enough internal memory to store up to 100000 readings and is in fact continually logging. When an object that is being monitored by a 4000 series datalogger goes out on loan the datalogger can travel with the object. When the object returns home the 4000 series unit can be downloaded via the high speed USB connection directly into the PC software. The environmental data for the time that the object has been away will be added to previously stored data, providing a continuous history for that object.
The moulded case allows easy access to the battery and USB socket, as well as having slots to fit onto secure wall brackets.
The ml4000 range has been designed to comply with the RoHS and WEEE EU directives, and carries the CE mark.
