Features
The battery powered measuring system is provided with a hollow shaft (diameter 20 mm) and is directly attached on the spindle. The position is recorded by the integrated sensor technology and is indicated on the LCD-display. The casing possesses a robust back wall with flange possibility and torsional support. Although HWD 15 is a robust measuring system, the mechanical load should be absorbed by the spindle. The hollow shaft rotates in a maintenance-free slide bearing. The considerable basic functions and registers allow a multifaceted use. To emphasize especially is the easy pulse rate adjustment (standard 1250 P/R). Powered by a commercial built-in battery the system works for up to 12 months in constant operation.

This is more than just an indicator, it also functions as an interface unit in hydrostatic tank gauging systems.
As an indicator it can operate in two modes: a
stand-alone device connected to a Servo tank gauge, SmartRadar level gauge, Hydrostatic Tank Gauging systems or temperature gauges (in combination with a level gauge), or as a parallel indicator which listens to the transmission to update its display.
Unique in the listening mode is the fall back option that adds redundancy and data availability to your installation. With this mode, the indicator itself will interrogate the gauge when the communication between field instruments and the central system is lost. A continuous display of your inventory data is guaranteed. When the communication is regained, the indicator again returns to the listening mode.
The FDI incorporates an optical infra-red connector for communication with a Portable Enraf Terminal (PET) in hazardous areas for easy configuration and verification.
The FDI indicator is a rugged, safe, solid-state field device, easy to install on a wall or railing. The indicator is certified for use in hazardous environments.

DIGITAL PANEL INDICATOR - DML300
DML300: Single Channel LVDT Panel Indicator
The DML300 series of digital panel indicators is designed specifically for use with LVDT transducers. The Fast-Cal feature provides a fast and simple
means of calibrating an indicator to the transducer at any two stroke positions.
The DML300 is configured for the correct transducer excitation voltage and frequency as recommended by the sensor manufacturer. As LVDT transducers can only be calibrated in situ, the sensor is set to the mechanical low (zero) and then the high (span) positions when prompted by the DML300. The measured LVDT signal values are then stored, with their relevant display values, as the calibration parameters. The DML300 can also automatically set the correct input gain to suit the LVDT transducers output. The displayed values can be in millimetres, inches or any other measurement units.
DML300 series indicators have a five digit display, transducer excitation supply and many software features including max/min memory and maths functions. All models are fitted with two analogue outputs - a high speed analogue output for monitoring fast changes of sensor movement, and a separate, electrically isolated, scaleable analogue output.
The serial RS 422 /485 communications interface allows connection to data loggers, PLCs and computers. Two logic inputs are provided to allow remote control of user selectable functions. In addition, two of the front panel push-buttons can be user defined to allow fast ac cess to pre-programmed functions.
All three models share the basic DML330 specification. In addition the DML340 has two alarm relays and the DML350 has four TTL alarm outputs.

General Description
Model DLI1 is a loop powered digital indicator, which can
be connected in series with any 4-20mA current loop and
will display the current flowing in meaningful engineering
units.
The large 3 ½ digit display is easy to read and the whole
device introduces a volt drop of less than 1V at full scale,
which means it can be used where several other devices
are already in the loop.
The Zero and span are independently adjustable so the
indicator can be can be calibrated to display any range
within the +/-1999 range, large positive and negative zero
offsets are easily accommodated.
Housings
The indicator can be supplied in an EEx de approved, IP68
enclosure in a variety of materials to suit the needs of the
environment in which it is installed. Extended versions allow
a transmitter and indicator to be conveniently mounted
as a single unit.

...a programmable 5-digit digital panel meter with three alarm relays
This digital panel meter provides a scaleable five digit display of an analogue signal in
engineering units. User configurable scaling to ranges within - 9999 to +99999, input signal selection and universal mains power enable spares/stock holding to be kept to a minimum. Three alarm relays provide voltage free contacts that change state when the input signal passes an adjustable reference set-point. Simple to use yet powerful menu-driven software enables fast flexible set-up from the front panel.
Input source and scaling
The input may be programmed to accept standard voltage and milliamp process signals. Scaling to user specified engineering units is also catered for.
Alarms
Three alarm relays are provided with the following programmable functions:
Delay - inhibits an alarm operation until the period programmed has expired (useful for preventing nuisance tripping).
Hysteresis - values of up to 100% of the input signal span from either above or below the alarm trip point set (set in percentages or display units).
Alarm type - each alarm channel may be set as Active High or Active Low.
Relay state - may be set to de-energise (off) on alarm or energise (on) on alarm.
Interlocked action - each channel can be independently set to operate at the trip point but reset at a different point using the hysteresis setting. This feature can be used in duty-standby pump control and can also include the delay function.
Monitored channel status indication
Tri-colour LEDs provide continuous indication of the status of each alarm channel. Green indicates a non-alarmed state, red indicates that the channel is in an alarm state, flashing green indicates that the input signal is within the hysteresis or delay band and is approaching the set-point. A flashing red indicates that the input signal has passed the set-point and is within the hysteresis or delay band. Yellow indicators signal that the unit is in programming mode.
Linearisation
Up to 10 break points may be entered.
Programming
The programming menu follows a set sequence, stepping onto the next item with each press of the Alarm X button. All parameters are viewed as a label alternating with the value currently set. Parameters are adjusted with the Up - Down arrow keys. Control of the output relays is maintained whilst programming is in progress, however, in this mode the front panel LEDs do not indicate the control state but are used to indicate programming mode in progress.
BCD output option
4.5 digits of display data plus Polarity and Over-range flags are output in 5 decades of parallel BCD data. The display data outputs reflect the state of the displayed reading. When a conversion is complete, the Data Valid signal is asserted. The BCD output data presented may be held at the value of the last valid measurement by the Hold signal.
Polarity of the BCD outputs (display data, polarity and over-range) is configurable from the front panel to be either active high or active low. The active state of HOLD and DATA VALID may also be inverted by internal jumper links.
Splash resistant front panel
A flexible transparent rubber hood offering front of panel protection up to IP65 is available as an option.
