The FDM 400mc has an increased build speed of 29 percent*. Unlike competitive technologies, this speed increase does not come at the expense of part quality — due to the stiffer gantry, improved extrusion parameters, and better extrusion flow control. These innovations allow part quality to improve, even at the faster speeds. ABS-M30 launched with the FDM 400mc, has significant improvements over standard ABS including; tensile strength, impact strength and flexural strength. Mechanical properties of ABS-M30 is up to 67% stronger than standard ABS**, expanding functional capabilities. The FDM 400mc can build with the following optional materials: ABS-M30, PC, PC-ABS, and PPSF. Plans call for the eventual addition of ABS, ABSi, and PC-ISO, which are currently available on other FDM systems. Due to improved build parameters and hardware improvements, parts manufactured from either PC-ABS or PC on an FDM 400mc are significantly stronger than the respective parts built on other FDM systems. PC-ABS parts are up to 17 percent stronger when built on the FDM 400mc, and PC parts are up to 29 percent stronger. Guyson Corporation has developed a pass-through blasting machine for gritblast descaling and surface preparation of band saw blades and continuous strip. The custom automated blast system is capable of producing a uniform condition on all surfaces of the material. Overall dimensions of the blast cabinet are 72" H x 96" W x 48" D (183 x 244 x 122 cm). The ends of the blast cabinet have entry and exit ports with guides. A vestibule at entry and exit isolates dust and noise in the blasting chamber and houses blow-off jets on the exit side. The blast machine has an extra wide swing-out front door to allow access to the blast enclosure for inspection, adjustment and maintenance. Inside the rubber-lined cabinet, eight suction-blast guns are rigidly mounted on multi-adjustable telescoping brackets that allow positioning at the correct angles and distances for complete 360-degree coverage of the work. When narrow strip is to be processed, extra guns can easily be turned off to conserve compressed air. Individual blast pressure regulators enable fine adjustment of the blasting intensity. The mineral grit abrasive is collected in four hoppers at the bottom of the blast chamber and conveyed pneumatically to the cyclone separator media reclaimer via thick cast urethane ducting. The intake elbow, body and cone of the cyclone reclaimer are also lined with urethane rubber, one of the most abrasion resistant materials available. Other special abrasion resistant features of the continuous-duty blast system are urethane media delivery hoses, bronze-bodied blast guns and boron carbide lined blast nozzles. Electronic sensors and up-to-date controls enhance the functionality and user-friendliness of the dryblast processing system. Level sensors in the media delivery system detect when the supply of grit is low, and this triggers automatic replenishment of the media from a storage hopper. A low media level in the storage hopper itself triggers a fault indication well in advance of the time that the steady flow of grit to the blast guns could be interrupted. Inadequate pressure in the compressed air supply to the machine or insufficient air flow in the media reclaimer and dust collector are also sensed, resulting in a fault indication. A rotating beacon light summons an attendant in the event of a fault, and the touch-screen panel enables quick identification of the problem through graphics and text prompts. >>>

The digital material thickness detection is designed for all kinds of material (mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, coated material, etc). The suction cup system comes with six pneumatic cups for separating the top blank form the stack and 53 automatic suction cups arranged in four different vacuum zones. The pre-centering station compensates the position of blanks, that have not been stacked accurately. Transport belts move the blank into the MULTIBEND-CENTER's blank loading grippers, which pull the part onto the scanning system. >>>
