Distance sensor PSD analog This sensor is applied in areas, where protection orders for laser are not compliable or where light in visual field is interfering. For example in digital exposure machines (offset printing) With the large LED light point (invisible), exact measuring results are obtainable on all textiles and abrasive surfaces. To have a look into the light beam is harmless. There are no safeguarding provisions as for laser beam. Like nearly all our sensors, also the M5 works according to the principle of triangulation. With a resolution from 0,0005 mm

(0.02 mil.) and an adjustable response time of 1ms, 2 ms and 20 ms this measuring device is combining speed and accuracy. Six variations with measuring ranges from 2 up to 200 mm (0.079 up to 7.87 in.) are available. The additional evaluation electronics and a 2 m long connection cable are included in delivery. Preferred areas of application: • single-colored felts, fabrics, rough surfaces • detection of foil and film edges • attendance check • identification of position • measuring of length, angle and thickness
