ML500 Applications
The ML560 can perform all of the functions of the original ML510, ML530, ML540 and LASI (Lab Animal Studies Injector) dispensers. A short list of the applications include aliquot dispensing, serial dispensing, titrations, pipetting and dilutions. The software can export a log file to simplify compliance with EPA, FDA (GMP, GLP) and ISO regulations.
Expanded Capabilities
New valving accommodates selection of up to 7 unique solvents, continuous dispensing without waiting for the syringe refill and automation of common laboratory tasks. Sending and receiving start signals with the TTL port makes it possible to integrate the ML560 with third party devices.
Improved Resolution
The ML560 is based on the same trusted syringe pump technology as the previous ML500 units. The software control improves the resolution from 0.1% to 0.05% of the syringe volume. The software eliminates restrictions on method storage by using the computer’s hard drive instead of on-board memory.

SCROLL PUMP
Oil free pumping for Genevac Centrifugal Evaporators
Developed by BOC Edwards, with assistance from Genevac, and based on the "scroll" principle. The scroll pump takes it’s name from the design of
the pump head, where a series of crescent shaped scrolls cut into an oscillating rotor are used to repeatedly compress and decompress the gas or vapour to be pumped.
The main advantage to the scroll pump is that it is "dry" and therefore does not require any pumping fluid or lubricant in order to operate. This in turn makes them ideal for use in harsh chemistry environments such as high throughput chemistry and drug discovery, where corrosive or volatile solvents are frequently used. Ordinary pump designs are totally unsuitable in these labs and so Genevac designed their unique Cole principle vacuum pump for just this type of work. Whilst the Cole principle pumps have been a great success, with over 1000 in use worldwide, they do require occasional topping up of the inert fluid in the pumping chamber, something no longer required with the scroll pump design.
Scroll technology is not new; it has been in use in the microprocessor industry for several years, but this is the first time it has been successfully applied to a wider range of solvents in the drug discovery arena. Special materials must be used in the construction of pumps for such applications before going in to use on Genevac evaporators. The pump is available in two sizes according to required flow rate; either 180 l/min and 90 l/min, both will reach down to 0.15mbar with ease. The larger unit is specified for Genevac’s new HT-24 Workstation for the large scale purification and synthesis sector and the Mega 980/1200, whilst the smaller unit is suitable for Genevac’s bench top evaporator models from DD-4 up to HT-12.

With accuracy and precision of +/-1% at full stroke, the StatMatic offers dependable performance. Constructed of polypropylene, Teflon®, glass, and ceramics, the StatMatic has no exposed glass that can break and requires minimal maintenance. The StatMatic is compatible with most reagents and chemicals and is designed so that even protein-based reagents won't cause sticking. The filtered air vent keeps liquids free of contaminants. In addition, the priming line allows recirculation into the dispenser port without removing the bottle.
Internal volume calibration rings allow volume changes without reducing accuracy. For volumes not provided, TriContinent can quickly customize the StatMatic for any OEM customer.
The StatMatic is available to retail customers in any quantity and to OEM customers in quantities of 200 or more, with each packaged individually. OEM customers also have a selection of custom printing and labeling choices.
