flood waters (clear water only) from floors or miscellaneous locations. The pump is constructed of:

dissipation,
b.stainless steel 410 heat treated shaft,
c.permanently oil-lubricated triple lip seals for exceptional durability,
d.durable glass reinforced thermoplastic impeller,
e.removable filter screen for easy cleaning,

CHECKBALL PUMP
High Pressure Pumps for Difficult Conditions
Individual piston check valves direct flow from the inlet side of the pump to the outlet port in these high pressure hydraulic pumps. The
positive-seating checkball valves provide better wear and high volumetric efficiency, especially at high pressure. These checkball pumps operate at pressures to 20 000 psi (1380 bar).During checkball pump operation, a fixed-angle wobble (cam) plate rotates with the drive shaft, causing the pistons to reciprocate. During its suction stroke, each piston is filled through its inlet check valve. During compression, the inlet check valve closes and pressure in the pumping chamber rises until it exceeds load pressure. The outlet checkball then lifts off its seat and fluid is pumped out of the chamber.

GX SERIES PUMP
The rugged design of the Heypac can provide a unique, cost effective, energy efficient product for use with a wide variety of fluids.
The GX series includes a wide range of flow and pressure
facilities and can be supplied in either basic pump form or complete with integral reservoir. With its range of complimentary accessories the GX series units combine economy and efficiency in a product suited for operation in the most demanding applications and stringent environmental conditions.
HOW DOES A HEYPAC DOUBLE ACTING PUMP WORK?
(the technical stuff)
The Heypac pump works on a reciprocating differential area piston principle. This means that the pump uses a large area air drive piston connected to a smaller area hydraulic piston to convert compressed air power to hydraulic power. Great! What does that mean? The easiest way to explain it is with an example. The ratio between the air drive piston area and the hydraulic piston area is indicated by the pump model number.
EXAMPLE: GX40 means that this is a 40 : 1 pump so using this ratio, we can explain the principle of operation.
Area of the air drive piston = 15.6 sq. in. / 100.65 sq. cms
(the air drive piston remains the same size in all GX series pumps)
Area of the hydraulic piston = 0.39 sq. in. / 2.52 sq. cms (15.6 divided by 40 (ratio) )
So, if you apply 60 PSI (4 BAR) of air pressure to the air drive piston (60 times 15.6) you get 936 lbs. of force. Then you take the ratio, 40 times 60 PSI (4 BAR) to the air drive, and that gives you 2400 PSI (165 BAR). Now take the 2400 PSI (165 BAR) multiplied by the size of the hydraulic piston (0.39 sq. in.) and you get 936 lbs. of force. Therefore, the GX40 pump with an air drive pressure of 60 PSI (4 BAR) will stall at 2400 PSI (165 BAR) because the forces equal out between the air drive piston and the hydraulic piston. Because of this method of operation the Heypac pump has the ability to stall at any predetermined pressure, and hold this pressure without consuming any power. The Heypac is run by compressed air, or other inert gas, so there is no danger of heat build up or fire from electrical sources, which means the Heypac can be used anywhere you can run an air line.

Maximum cycle speed - 500 cycles per min (intermittent duty). For continuous duty maximum cycle speed should be reduced to approx. 50 -60 cycles per minute. Applications involving continuous pumping should be referred to Heypac.
