REINFORCING BAR
CELSA 500C is a hot rolled, ribbed steel bar, for use in the reinforcement of concrete.
The steel is melted in an electric arc furnace, continuously cast into billets, and rolled to final
size.
Final properties are achieved through the quenched self tempered accelerated cooling process.
CELSA 500C exceeds the requirements of BS 4449: 2005 Grade 500B, and is fully weldable.
CELSA 500C reinforcing steel bars are available in all BS 4449: 2005 preferred sizes, from 8 to 40 mm.
Length
Standard lengths: 12, 14, 15 m.
Special lengths, from 6 to 18 m, are available by prior order.
Length tolerance: -0 +100 mm.

Bar geometry and rolling marks
CELSA 500 C bars have two rows of transverse ribs, forming a double angled rib pattern. There is no longitudinal rib.
CELSA 500 C bars are designed to meet the bond requirements of BS 4449: 2005 and Eurocode 2.
