For use in compression or in fail-safe tensile applications. The F202 is ideally suited to engineering force measurements including through centre safety testing of cables, rods and bolts. It is designed for easy installation, usually between two flat faces bearing on its loading rings, either unattached or with retaining spigots positioned in the centre hole. Alternatively tensile load transfer can be achieved via a tie rod assembly through the centre hole. In this way the loadcell can indirectly measure tensile loads in a "fail-safe" mode. A loadbutton and base plate are available for the F202. We are happy to design variants of this loadcell to meet your specific requirements. By using this type of sensor, there is no need to break down the termination of the rope (to fit say a load link style product) or even remove the load from the rope. Each unit is supplied with an integral eye, which is welded to one end of the sensor. This enables the sensor to be chained to an adjacent structure, for ease of installation and increased safety, whilst in use. The COS series can be supplied as shown in this datasheet or can be modified to meet a particular application requirement. We are always pleased to discuss any special requirements that can be accommodated. The COS series can be supplied on it's own or combined with our extensive range of instrumentation to provide a complete load monitoring system. >>>
