CAVITY FIXING BOXBOLT
BoxBolt fixings are a blind fixing solution for connecting to hollow section steelwork or where access is restricted to one side only. The BoxBolt fixing is suitable for use with rectangular, square
and even circular hollow sections. The BoxBolt features a hexagon head design on the body to aid installation with a standard spanner but also allows it to be installed with our unique BoxSokTM installation tool for when installation time needs to be kept to an absolute minimum.
BoxBolt is available in M08,M10,M12,M16 and M20 bolt diameters and is also available in three lengths for each size. The different lengths allow for a large fixing range (dim X) but also provide an additional feature in that the fixing ranges between size 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 overlap for applications where the exact fixing thickness is difficult to determine.

BoxBolts can be removed afterwards should this be required, although the bolt will need to be replaced with a new one.
The setscrew running through the centre of the BoxBolt body can be replaced with a threaded rod or eyebolt to allow a fixing point on the outside of the steelwork. For common applications of the BoxBolt please see our applications section.
The standard BoxBolt range is manufactured from mild steel with an electro zinc plated finish.

ALUMINUM NFPA CYLINDER EW-79553-00
Cylinders with 1-1/2" bore, 5/8" diameter rod; 1" stroke length; standard piston; no cushions
These precision built cylinders have a profiled barrel that provides strength superior to traditional
tie rod cylinders. The “floating” rod bushing provides a smoother stroke with low friction and added wear resistance. The aluminum housing has thick walls to resist dents; end caps and mounts are corrosion resistant.
The factory installed mounts have side taps and female taps at both ends. The cylinder’s flexible design allows you to easily change the mount and adapt to different applications; order additional mounts separately. The cylinders meet the standards published by the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA). The cylinders and mounts are dimensionally interchangeable with all NFPA cylinders—no need to change mounting dimensions on machinery.
All cylinders are double-acting. Cylinders with standard pistons use compressed air to both extend and retract the piston. Cylinders with magnetic pistons use air to extend and a magnet to retract the piston. The single end piston rod extends from one end only—ideal for moving parts and levers, positioning tools, controlling product flow, assembling products, and packaging goods. Use a position switch to sense the position of your cylinder—order separately.
Rods are available with or without cushions. Cushioned cylinders reduce shock and vibration by reducing piston speed the last fraction of an inch of stroke. The reduced shock and vibration results in less noise, wear, and maintenance. The end cap contains an adjustable needle valve for precise control of the cushion effect.
