FE-13TM is a safe and efficient clean agent. It is characterised by its wide margin of safety in occupied areas. It does not damage the ozone layer or leave residue after discharge. This product is widely accepted as a replacement for Halon 1301.

As this is a gas that is stored at high pressure (42 bar), the cylinders can be placed at a greater distance from the risk than other extinguishing agents like the FM-200.

Filters may burn or even explode because of sparks within exhaust ducts. GreCon Spark Extinguishing Systems are designed to prevent this. They detect small sparks within the ducts and extinguish them in a split second. Spark sensors detect the infrared radiation of glowing particles. Immediately, a dense water mist spray which extinguishes passing sparks is created in a specified distance downstream from the spark sensors. The production process can continue without interruption during the whole procedure.
Fire insurance companies have noticed the minimised risk when installing spark extinguishing systems and may grant discounts on insurance premium rates of up to 15 %. The regulations of the German Association of Property Insurers (Richtlinien der VdS Schadensverhütung), form 2106, specifically stipulate all requirements on spark extinguishing systems. Precondition for achieving discounts on premium rates is the use of an extinguishment system that is approved by this association.
Spark extinguishing systems are amongst the most efficient fire protection systems as a result of their highly-developed technique and their reliability. The use of these systems for various applications is even prescribed by the employer's liability insurance associations and by national factory inspectorates. The FM 200® extinguishing agent is a colourless gas, virtually odourless and a non-conductor of electricity. It extinguishes fires mainly through physical means and is suitable for the protection of most risks where previously Halon 1301 would have had to be applied.
The FM 200® extinguishing agent is a colourless gas, virtually odourless, a non-conductor of electricity and with a density that is 6 times that of air. It extinguishes fires mainly through physical means (by absorbing heat). It is suitable for the protection of most risks where previously Halon 1301 would have had to be applied.
FM 200® extinguishes the fire quickly and cleanly. The fire extinguishing systems that use the FM 200® agent are therefore designed to ensure that the discharge time required to reach 95% of the design minimum concentration is less than 10 seconds. This requirement is guaranteed through the use of computer programs for flow calculations which are validated by independent certifying agencies.
The LPG systems that use this extinguishing agent are designed for 10-second discharges. The agent is pressurised with dry nitrogen at 24 bar and is stored in steel cylinders equipped with certified valves.
