Ferrous Sulphate is used on brown fields (Industrial waste lands, chemical contaminated lands), to reduce Chromium VI and some heavy metals. It is widely used to alter the pH levels as an acidifier on alkaline grounds and to introduce iron into iron deficient areas. Fenton’s Reagent uses Ferrous Sulphate as an iron catalyst to treat a variety of industrial wastes containing a range of toxic organic compounds (Phenols, Formaldehyde, Pesticides, Dyestuff wastes, Plastic and Rubber chemicals – there are many more). Ferrous is also used extensively as an additive to cement.
Ferrous can be used to enhance the quality of grass and is widely used on golf courses as a moss killer. It has a significant iron content thus making it a must in some fertilisers, along with feed and vitamin supplements. Ferrous can be used as prevention to chlorosis in plants.
As a coagulant in water treatment, Ferrous Sulphate can reduce phosphates in effluents by a substantial amount and as a floculant, Ferrous can separate the solid from liquid in waste effluents.
This product is supplied in tonne amounts on pallets in 25kg bags, 40 bags per pallet. Please see Application Rates and Solution Matrix as recommended by the manufacturer.

FERTILISER - FLORANID EAGLE NK

Floranid® Eagle NK 20+0+18(+2+TE) is a very fine granulated, phosphate free, slow release fertiliser for high-value sports turf, such as golf greens and tees, bowling greens and
fairways. The narrow NK ratio promotes healthy and strong growth as well as resistance against diseases, heat, drought and cold. Floranid Eagle NK is especially suited for soils with high contents of phosphate.
Starter effect through readily available nitrogen in the form of ammonium and nitrate and the long term effect through the unique slow release nitrogen Isodur are ideally combined. Ammonium and nitrate supply the immediate demand for nitrogen. Isodur ensures thereafter a continuous supply of nitrogen over 8-12 weeks, depending on the climate conditions. Constant growth without peaks is the result. The high content of potassium and magnesium together with iron and manganese promote intensive colour and vital growth and is ideally suited for complementary application and application in autumn.
Application Data
The very fine granulation of Floranid Eagle NK can be applied evenly through a granular spreader/applicator (see Spreader Rates). Application is possible during the whole growing season. The recommended rates do not bear the risk of scorching. Watering in is not obligatory, nevertheless promotes the immediate effect. The fine granules enter well into the sward and break down with moisture or irrigation after a short period. Floranid Eagle NK works well within a nutritional programme with Floranid Eagle or Floranid Master Extra.

nitrogen is ideally suited for the use in spring and summer. Starter effect through readily avalable nitrogen in the form of ammonium and nitrate and long term effect through the unique slow release nitrogen Isodur are ideally combined. Ammonium and nitrate supply the immediate demand for nitrogen. Isodur ensures thereafter a continuous supply of nitrogen over 8-12 weeks, dpending on the climatic conditions.
