Each tachometer system includes a pulser disc (or optional split collar pulser wrap), a digital sensor with mounting bracket, and a panel-mount display with built-in power supply. The H100T has three switch

e switch selectable ranges of 0-50 RPM, 0-500 RPM, 0-5,000 RPM, with an accuracy of ± 2%. The easy-to-read display with 4" wide 50-division scale can be factory set to read out in desired engineering units. Principle of Operation The H100T is supplied with a shaft-end mounted pulser disc or split collar pulser wrap, which generates an alternating magnetic field that is picked up by the large gap Hall-Effect sensor. The sensor transmits this signal as a digital pulse to the H100T via a 3-conductor shielded cable where it is converted to an analog readout directly proportional to the shaft speed. Large-Gap Sensor Installation The standard sensor is supplied with a mounting bracket and two jam nuts and is easily adjustable to achieve the proper gap distance. The optional explosionproof sensor is supplied with a slotted mounting bracket, also easily adjustable. Sensors should be installed allowing the center of the magnets to pass in front of the center of the sensing head during rotation. The gap distance between the sensor and the disc or wrap (Dimension A in the shown below) is 3/8" ± 1/8". When using a standard 4" disc, the center of the magnetized area of the disc (Dimension B in shown below) is 1-3/4" from the center hole of the disc.
