Desktop Power Supplies
The Desktop Power Supplies, popularly called the ?Wedge? due to its distinctive ergonomically friendly shape, offer a convenient way to convert 12Vdc mobile radio transceivers for use as desktop base stations. They will operate from AC supplies, either 115V or 230V without manual adjustment. The continuous rating is 108W (9A), sufficient for most radio transceivers on the market.
We started making these for Motorola radios 5 years ago, now we have 18 varieties for 8 manufacturers.
Integrated Battery Back Up Facility
The product has a built in battery back up facility which will allow the supply to continuously trickle charge a battery which will automatically power the transceiver in the event of a mains supply cut.
Designed for Ease of Use
The wedge gets its name from its unique shape which is designed to angle the radio towards the user for ease of operation. A microphone clip is supplied for each side of the radio (except universal units) for either left or right handed operators. A red LED indicates when the output from the unit is supplied from the mains. If a battery back up has been fitted, and the mains supply should fail, a yellow LED will light, indicating that the output is supplied from the back up battery providing the operator with reassurance of the status of the equipment.
The ever popular ?T? shaped bracket allows the power supply to be fitted quickly and simply making for a fast and neat installation.

This uses a mechanical interlocking fixing system (3M ?Dual Lock?) to fix the transceiver securely to the power supply.

AD Series Mains Power Supplies
Mains Power Supplies in 12V, 24V and 48V Configurations
The AD Series units may be used to supply mobile radios and other appliances from AC mains used in offices, portable site cabins, communication cabins, telephone exchanges, remote antennae sites, ships, oil rigs etc. The units will accept either European 230Vac or US 115Vac inputs and are available as standard in 12V, 24V and 48V dc output configurations. Input is via a standard IEC-320 C13/14 power cord with UK, European or US mains plugs ? please state your requirement.
Rugged and Compact
These units, often referred to as ?brick in the lead? supplies are housed in a rugged, corrosion resistant anodized aluminium extrusion. The low mass surface mount technology components offer excellent resistance to shock and vibration, thus further increasing the reliability of these products. A red LED indicates when there is output from the converter. This gives reassurance to the installation engineer and speeds fault finding.
Installation
There?s nothing worse than a power supply lying around on the floor. The ?T? shaped mounting clip, common to many Alfatronix products, allows the power supplies to be installed quickly and simply in many out of the way locations, such as underneath desks or on walls. The 3 point ?T? clip can be fitted securely, even on uneven surfaces , quickly and simply, then the power supply simply ?clips? in place

The latest addition to the range includes two high current (17 and 25Amps output) units. These use state of the art designs with efficiency up to 93% and practically all components mounted using computer controlled surface mount technology (SMT). The result is a robust product with low component mass. The mechanical aspects include a brand new casing profile designed for maximum heat dissipation as well as a new design of our highly successful mounting cradle that allows the unit to be fully wired before being ?clicked' into place. The DD Series 12-24V products are available in either standard IP53 format (like most Alfatronix converters) or the Ruggedised IP65 versions. Just add -RU to the part number. These are suitable where the installation is in a particularly hostile environment and subject to increased water and dirt exposure.

PowerVerter 24Vdc to 12Vdc Voltage Converters
These products offer a convenient way to operate mass produced 12Vdc equipment such as cell phones, in car entertainment, professional communication and telematics equipment, refrigerators, televisions etc. from the 24Vdc mobile electrical systems found on diesel engined vehicles and vessels.
a Comprehensive Range
There are 10 products in the range from 3a to 24a in isolated or common earth configurations. They have been optimised for high volume 24Vdc to 12Vdc applications such as on heavy goods vehicles, coaches, buses, construction, forestry and agricultural vehicles, commercial and leisure marine vessels.
Tamper Proof
There are no ventilation holes to permit stray objects, dust or water droplets to enter the case. There are no external fuses to be tampered with. Fuses will only blow if there is a fault so there is no need to make them accessible.
All PowerVerters are enclosed in a rugged aluminium extrusion. The low mass Surface Mount Technology components are also less prone to damage from vibration and shock, further increasing the reliability of the units.
3Amp units are excellent for charging mobile phones, while 6a units suit a variety of mobile radio applications.
Galvanically isolated units are suitable for marine applications and come complete with the green tamperproof label for petrochemical applications.
Fast Installation
All the units consume an off load current of less than 15mA, which is probably less than the self discharge current of the vehicle's battery. In most cases this can be ignored, speeding the installation by removing the need to fit a remote switch. All products fit onto a 'Click 'n' Fit mounting clip which is fixed in three points allowing it to be mounted on uneven surfaces. It is easy to fit the clip into awkward places and then simply click the unit into position. a red led indicates when there is output from the converter. This gives reassurance to the installation enginer and speeds fault finding.
Easy 6 step Installation Method
1. Find a convenient location away from sun and rain.
2. Using the mounting clip as a template, mark fixing positions.
3. Drill screw holes.
4. Fix bracket using screws provided.
5. Clip PowerVerter to mounting bracket.
6. Correctly connect to load.

Harsh Environments
These products offer the same great electrical characteristics as our PowerVerter and DD Series, but are provided in ?Ruggedised' casings for use in harsh environments. Using the well known Ingress Protection System, the product range has been tested and subjected to demanding environmental conditions and awarded a rating of IP655.
All Ruggedised PowerVerters are enclosed in a durable aluminium extrusion. The low mass Surface Mount Technology components are also less prone to damage from vibration and shock, further increasing the reliability of the units.
Innovative Technology
Utilising the same GORE-TEX® technology that is used in extreme outdoor clothing, the Ruggedised range is able to breathe freely, without compromising the water tight and dust tight seal. This free-flow of air ensures that the pressure remains equal inside and outside the unit thus allowing it to operate within a large temperature range and at varying altitudes safely.

Anti-Vibration

The RU range has the same features as the standard PV & DD range, but in addtion, they also offer the following benefits :

12V-12V, 24V-24V, 12V-24V and 48V-12V Converters for a wide range of applications
If you need to fit 24V equipment onto a 12V vehicle, then an up converter from the DD Series offers a fast and easy way to configure your system. Or, if you need to stabilise your voltage or isolate your supply, then the DDi Series of 12V-12V and 24V-24V Isolators will suffice. There are also 48V-12V units available for telecoms and forklift truck applications.
These 12V units are ideal for small vehicle applications such as cars, minibuses, small marine craft, caravans and motorhomes and a variety of industrial uses.
12V-12V and 24V-24V units provide a stable output voltage as well as providing galvanic isolation for a variety of application.
A Wide Product Range
There are three 12V-24V products in the range running at currents from 3A (DD 12-24 072) to 10A (DD 12-24 240), while there are 5 more products from 3A ? 10A in the 12V-12V and 24V-24V isolator range. All products use modern switchmode designs and are built using the same manufacturing concepts and technologies as the successful PowerVerter range which will of course meet your 24V-12V requirements.

DetailsSince the viscosity of oil changes with the temperature the oil temperature must be controlled. Depending on the application the need to control the temperature can range from keeping minimum or maximum levels, triggering alarm points or emergency shut off. The Thermotronic LC1 has been developed for such applications where both the output as well as the hysteresis must be very precise. Appllications with settings close to ambient temperature are typical. The signal is generated by an DTD (PT 100) and is converted by an electronic circuit into an adjustable output. The hysteresis is fixed to 5 K but can be adjusted to 10 K if required. For maintenance the electronics and the sensor can be removed from the housing without the need to remove the unit from the power pack. This avoids the need to drain the power pack/reservoir.

SURFACE FINISH
Coated with grey epoxi polyester powder (similar to 7042 RAL) with coarse texture, made by electrostatic projection and dry into an oven to 180-200ºC.To obtain a perfect degreasing and absolute absence of dirt and dust, a pre-treatment is carried out before the surface finish, which consists of a neutral-type degreasing followed by a non-chromic conversion to aluminium (i.e. no damage to the
enviroment), finished whith a dry to 80ºC.
CLOSURE
By means of a stainless steel closure system with a male standardised triangular head of 7 mm.
WATERTIGHTESS
It is guaranteed by means of four screws that press the supporting plate against a neoprene gasket.This allows a degree of protection of IP-65 according to UNE 20324, CEI 529 and EN 60529.
INSTALLATION
Due to its cylindrical base its placing in the wall is easy whether salient or embedded, as it is necessary just to make a hole in the wall. Installation shall be made near the building entrance according to the water supplier requirements. Plaster mortars must not be used.
SUPPLY
The box contains a Jack type female stereo connector of ¼1/4" (Ø 6,35mm) with its corresponding electronic plate (with two electrical terminals and a phone connector), being able to manage the reading of up to 50 meters.
