If you require high resolution, fast measurements, the TP112 is the card to use. With its 12 bit resolution and 1 MHz sampling per channel it meets the requirements. The 32 kWord/channel acquisition memory can be freely set up to your own demands: selectable record lengths from 10 to 32K samples and a user definable division into pre- and post trigger memory. This, together with the fully adjustable trigger system makes that you don't need to miss an event anymore. Some key specifications of the TP112 are: 12 bits resolution, 2 channels and an input range of 1.25 volt .. 20 volt full scale; 1 MHz sampling on 2 channels; easy-to-install ISA card, no IRQ or DMA required. Additionally the TP112 offers 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs. This is another example of the KIS’s ability to support an object on its side axis and measure forces at 90 degrees to this. A drum winch or a linear engine on a cable laying ship can be mounted on four or six KIS shear force load cells with their measuring axes horizontal and the deadweight supported on the (vertical) side axis of the KIS. Using this technique it is possible to constantly monitor the cable tension and, by means of a pitch compensation system, correct for changes in the tension due to the movement of the ship in the swell. Typically, the drum winch can weigh up to 60 tonnes and control a tension of up to 40 tonnes. However it could be required to run with a cable tension of 0.5 tonnes or lower. >>>
