GetaCore® is THE solid surface material from
WESTAG & GETALIT AG. Tangible functional advantages and its innovative, aesthetic appearance make GetaCore® an ideal
modern material for
work-tops. The surface is non-porous and very easy to clean and maintain. Corner connections can be designed with almost seamless joints - good for maintenance, pleasing to the eye.
GetaCore® can in principle be processed like solid
wood. For instance, the surface can be very finely sanded in a similar manner to wood parquet. The advantage:
minor traces of use or damage can be simply removed - and your worktop is as good as new.

A Getalit® worktop is a real quality product which can stand up
to almost anything: extremely impact and scratch resistant, light fast, resistant to stains and, what’s more, to common household chemicals. The surface is even impervious to boiling water, wet or dry heat, cigarette ash and short-term exposure to hot saucepans at temperatures up to 230° C. These excellent material and technical properties are laid down in the European standard
DIN EN 438 - a guarantee for lastingly beautiful and hygienic worktops!

Care instructions and quality features. Getalit® - HPL worktops are
extremely easy to look after:
When slightly soiled wipe with a damp cloth.
When more heavily soiled, warm soapsuds or a commercial cleaning agent help. Don’t use any abrasive, acid-containing or scouring agents!
Remove stubborn marks like paint and glue residues, ink, felt-tip with an organic solvent (e.g. spirit, acetone, petrol).
First remove any paraffin or wax mechanically (avoid scratches!), iron off any residues with blotting paper.
Wax polishes should never be used!

intelligent layering in the HPL process. The abbreviation HPL stands for High Pressure Laminate - decorative laminated boards according to the European standard DIN EN 438. They offer extraordinary stability, excellent finish and an enormous range of decors. Kraft papers impregnated with phenol resin as the load-bearing core, a decor paper impregnated with melamine resin and the overlay are layered on a substrate. Heat, pressure and resins melt them into an in-separable unit. The kraft papers impregnated with resin give the worktop its special stability whereas the overlay protects the decor print. Structure-giving plates lend the decors the most varied surface structures.

Texwood is the name given to a range of high quality solid wood panels, produced in Italy to our specification, kiln dried and ready for fabrication and finishing here in the UK.

Craftsmanship
The production method is a process of careful monitoring, combining a mixture of old fashioned skills and new computerised state of the art equipment.
Our current stock consists of ASH, BIRCH, CHERRY, EUROPEAN MAPLE, IROKO, NATURAL BEECH, STEAMED BEECH, OAK, WALNUT, SAPELE & TEAK. These timbers are sourced in Italy or from other countries that have sound forestry policies such as the USA. No timbers from South America are included in our portfolio. Texwood has become THE product we are all pleased to be associated with, especially with regards to ecological issues.
The nature on its species
Texwood is available in an extensive range of hardwoods, produced in a variety of standard panels measuring upto 4000x1220mm and in thicknesses ranging from 26 to 42mm. Each panel is carefully checked and approved to ensure that any imperfections are specially treated and corrected by hand, guaranteeing a final product that is technically and aesthetically perfect.
The entire Texwood range is also available in two different widths of stave, in narrow 20mm strips and wider 42mm.
