ACCUMULATION CHAIN CONVEYOR - NT 815 10
NIKAI´s NT 800 is a double free-flow pallet conveyor transport system driven by flat belts, timing belts or accumulation roller chain.
With this one model, we are able to realize operations on the
work piece from all 6 possible sides.
This conveyor is specially designed to coordinate the diverse operations, manual or automatic, during assembly or manufacturing.
One of the principal characteristics of the system is its flexibility where in a moment we can realize conveying operations or basic assembly. Later on, and attending to the new needs of clients, NIKAI can provide extensions by means of all the available accessories such transfers, elevators, lifting and positioning stations, turn stations, stoppers, etc.
The mechanical aspect of the system consists of a chassis of extrusioned aluminium (two profiles linked together) in which the upper part supports the conveying components (chain or timing belt) and above this, the pallets with their specific tooling.
For the proper sliding movement for the conveying components (chain or timing belt), the aluminium profiles have attached a yellow ceramic polyethylene material when using chains and a PET support bed when using timing belts.
Variants exist when the drives are in end or central position. In the attached drawing, the different configurations can be observed.
The tooling pallets consist of three parts: the sliding PET's, the flange and the specific tooling required to move the work piece.
The pallets can be stopped or accumulated by means of stopper units since the chain or the timing belt is not physically joined to the pallets in question.

Transfers between conveyor lines on the same plane:
By means of a continuous advancing gyrating disc (90º, or 180º). It is only necessary the installation of a stopper before the entry of the pallet on to the gyrating disc and a confirmation of exit sensor for this pallet. It is necessary to bear in mind the entry and exit position of the pallet. In this way, the exterior side of the pallet will always be the same in entry and in exit.
By means of pneumatic elevation transfer. Once the pallet comes to the end of the line, the elevator will be activated and the transverse transfer (drive rollers, chain or gear belts) starts working. Once this operation is completed, the elevator will return to the initial position and will leave the pallet on the principal line of return. Unlike the transfer by gyrating disc, this variant needs more elements of control. Bear in mind that the exterior side of the pallet at the entry in the transfer, turns into interior side as the transfer is completed.
Transfers between conveyor lines on a different plane:
By means of elevators, electrical or pneumatic applications, feed conveyor / extraction of pallet by drive rollers, accumulation chain rollers or timing belts and with guided columns and rollers of re-circulating balls. The elevator protection consists of electro-welded metallic mesh treated with polycarbonate. It is necessary to bear in mind the pallet entry and exit position since the head of the pallet becomes the tail as the transfer is completed.
Elevator positioning stations:
Used when the pallet needs to be stopped and put in a position requiring great precision.
Elevator and turning stations:
Used when there is needed to turn pallets 90º or 180º.
NIKAI conveyors, as is common knowledge, are totally modular and thus need no welding or other material finishes.
NIKAI offers a wide range of joining elements that can be used for posterior extensions or for the installation of accessories such as guides, stoppers, photoelectric cells etc.
We have large quantities of material in stock in order to shorten delivery times for conveyor manufacturing or for clients to do the assembly themselves.

ROLLER CONVEYOR - NT 210 15
NIKAI can offer a wide range of roller conveyors with several options regarding drives, diameters and roller material. All frames are completely constructed out of extrusioned aluminium
profile.
These conveyors can have straight or curved sections and are ideally suited for the transport of work pieces which have a totally flat base.
There exists the possibility of mounting rollers with accumulation which allows the rollers, once they have retained the load, to continue turning therefore prolonging the life of the rollers against wear and tear, and eliminating the need of large power drives for the conveyor system.

SLAT CHAIN CONVEYOR - NT 300 40
Nikai can offer wide range of articulated metallic chain conveyors when there exists a need to transport or accumulate light or semi-light work pieces with finished pack-saddles, fins or any other
special elements.
We also have conveyors with low friction plastic articulated chains available in several widths when low coefficients of friction from the chain to the transported to work piece are needed or when a higher degree of sensitivity in the transport of the finished pieces is required.
In order to adapt the configuration of the conveyor to a physical space or production area, we can provide standard curves of 90 º and 180 º. Other special curves with specific angles can be made to order.
Except special cases, all our conveyors us chains with TAB.
SELECTION CRITERIA FOR TYPES OF CHAIN
POLYOXYMETHYLEN (LOW FRICTION PLASTIC) NT 300 10; NT 300 20, NT 300 40:
The polyoxymethylen (POM) chains are suitable for products using accumulation that are dry and have neither edges nor sharp ends. POM is a thermoplastic material with very good mechanical and thermal properties. It is also characterized by its high resistance, elasticity and dimensional stability. This material is resistant to a great variety of chemical agents. It has a low coefficient of friction and is highly resistance to wear.
Work Temperature: -40ºC to +90ºC.
Colour of the Chain: Brown.
SPECIAL HARDENED STEEL (CARBON) NT 300 17, NT 300 27:
Steel chains are used in high temperature workplace and in applications where the products to transport are heavy, abrasives, etc. These chains are made of special hardened steel with 0,45 % of carbon and a hardness of 36-42 HRC.
Pin material for chains made of this special hardened steel:
18/8 CrNi cold drawn to high hardness and strength.
Work Temperature: -70ºC to + 430ºC.
Magnetic properties: Magnetic.
FERRITIC STAINLESS STEEL NT 300 15, NT 300 25:
The stainless steel chains are used in applications similar to those of steel and in the food industry where they must comply with F.D.A. standards. Bear in mind that the aluminium chassis can be subject to decomposition when cleaned with caustic soda.
The ferritic quality allows high wearability and is economical where demands for corrosion are not very strong.
Ferritic quality contains 17,5 % of chrome.
Werkstoff n º 1.4016, AISI 430.
Pin material for chains made of this ferritic stainless steel:
18/8 CrNi cold drawn to high hardness and strength.
Work Temperature: -70ºC to + 430ºC.
Magnetic properties: Magnetic.
