Record and playback of temperature data The Ircon Preform Inspection System is used during the initial stages of fiber optics manufacturing where a hollow glass preform is heated on a rotating lathe. Chemical deposition occurs on the inside of the hollow preform until the hollow glass rod becomes solid. In this application, controlling the temperature as well as the diameter of the preform are both extremely critical. Ircon solves both temperature and diameter measurement problems with the Ircon Preform Inspection System. This system consists of the Stinger Thermal Imaging Camera, the Ircon Preform Software, and optional Analog Outputs. Preform Software Features and Benefits Temperature and diameter measurements - Ircon's Preform software provides two measurements in one system. Now there is no need to have BOTH a pyrometer and a non-contact dimensional device such as a laser micrometer. You have fewer instruments mounted on the lathe carriage. Performance evaluation of antennas sited and operating in complex and electrically large environments are difficult and complex measurement tasks. SatSim provides a user-friendly and economical way to accurately evaluate the behavior of an antenna in its final operational environment. This has been achieved by combining near field measurements of the stand alone antenna with numerical modeling of its operational environment, based on a fast forward ray tracing technique. As SatSim is accessed from within the SatEnv measurement software, the influence from the scattering environment on the antenna radiation pattern can be evaluated immediately after the measurement of the stand alone antenna. The antenna, or its environment, can then be optimized for the best possible combined performance. Alternatively, a modeled source represented by spherical wave coefficients can be used. Application areas include evaluation of antennas positioned on large, complex structures such as cars, planes and ships. Antenna design and placement can also be optimized for wireless coverage solutions in indoor and outdoor environments. The DSP (Digital Signal Processor)-based multi-processor and multi-tasking system MVS-35cf is now even more robust and enhanced by a compact flash memory drive. There is no compromise between PC and accessories, and no intelligent camera where size is more important than function. Its concept was not evolved from "synergetic considerations", but in the heads of experienced developers on the basis of market demands and requirements. The MVS-35cf is a stand-alone image processing system developed to use the advantages of modern double-speed full-frame cameras. Only 0.02 seconds are now needed to record the image of a component to be tested; in other words:if the mechanical conditions are satisfactory, it is possible to check at least 3000 specimen per minute. The MVS-35cf is able to record and evaluate a camera image at any time, i.e. asynchronously and independently of the video cycle; up to 50 times per second at full resolution. If two cameras are connected to the MVS-35cf, these can naturally be read out in a way that is determined exclusively by the time of the part arrival, simultaneously and asynchronously. As a result, it is now possible for the first time to check and measure two views of a product with one image processing system at the same time. Due to the fact that the MVS-35cf runs independently of the video cycle, the exposure time is identical to the integration time of the camera and the interference of light from external sources is reduced considerably in comparison with previous levels. The MVS-35cf has all the practical interfaces needed for automation applications: a data bus for communication with lighting systems, inputs and outputs for 16 sensors and 16 actuators, Ethernet (TCP/IP) as well as a special input for an incremental encoder are proof of the fact that all interfaces have been thought of. The visiTeach® software is stored in the fail-safe EEPROM memory as before. A PC compatible compact flash memory drive is provided for saving measured values, images or programs. >>>

The image processing systems MVS-40net and MVS-40 have an excellent cost effectiveness that satisfies beginners as well as professional users. Maximum technical possibilities with a low purchase price distinguish both systems from the competition. The basic version of the MVS-40 series allows one camera to be used; if required, however, the devices can be switched over to operation with up to eight cameras, without being modified. Double-speed full-frame or line cameras can also be used. It is furthermore possible to read in the images of two cameras at exactly the same time and analyze them together.The devices MVS-40 and MVS-40net are operated with a supply voltage of 24 volts. In most cases, this conventional power supply is already present in the automation system. If this should not be the case, the stackable system powersupply unit PS-40 is available. To cover the subject of lighting, which is elementary for (almost) every image processing system, the MVS-40 device series integrates a light controller with four lighting channels. This basic configuration allows many applications to be implemented without extra lighting electronics. The integration of the lighting operation system in the visiTeach® software of the MVS-40 devices is unique. Programming and operating the MVS-40 series requires no additional hardware. The entire software and the parameters are located in a non-volatile memory. The visiTeach® programming language, which is similar to CAD, is self-explanatory, clearly structured and guides the user interactively to the measuring program. The MVS-40net has all practical interfaces needed for use in automation.
