MCR The MCR models, consist in horizontal machining centres for different workpiece sizes. The features in common are: reliable and cost-effective cutting operations, very high manufacturing accuracy, maximum availability rate and outstanding performance. The different system components allow an optimum design and extension of the range, depending on the individual machining operation. For workpieces up to a weight of 30.000 kg The MCR series machining centres allow the precise and economic machining of workpieces made of cast iron or steel, for example: - Diesel engine blocks - Conrods - Electric motors - Side columns - Injection moulding plates - Turbine blades - High-capacity gear boxes etc. Different machine sizes The pallet size designates the MCR machining centres. MCR 60, MCR 80 and MCR 120-80 are suitable for workpieces up to 3.000 kg. Larger workpieces up to a weight of approx. 30.000 kg are machined on the machining centres MCR 100 to MCR 160 (pallet size 1000 x 1000 mm up to 2000 x 2500 mm). System components Cubic workpieces can be machined from five sides in one set-up only. The indexing work spindle allows high-precision machining tolerances. The HV-spindle head with a speed range of up to 8000 rpm is designed for full speed and power in both indexing positions. Indexing takes 2.5 seconds only with unvaried speed. For boring diameters up to 850 mm, the heads are partly equipped with automatic tool changer. The facing heads, rigidly designed, are manufactured in-house. For the machining of long bores and deep bearing seats, automatic changing of the tool extension from and to the work spindle is foreseen. Solid and backlash-free design guarantees precise machining operations as well as perfect concentricity. Expensive extension systems are therefore no longer necessary. Boring, angled and facing heads are securely held by a locating and clamping device with a clamping force of 20000 N per cylinder. 5th axis (swivelling axis) For the machining of inclined surfaces and bores in one set-up. Tilting table with integrated rotary table (B-axis) for pallets up to a size of 1600 x 1600 mm. Automatic pallet change by means of a double pallet changer.
