The JetMate is pointed at the number plate of stationary vehicles. The number plate is then read, an image of the camera view and the plate patch is displayed on screen along with the interpreted plate details. The unit can also contain a 'hit list' of 5 millilon wanted vehicles and once the number plate is captured it can be compared against the hit list. If a match is found then an audible warning tone is sounded and an appropriate message or information is displayed on screen. When JetMate is returned to it's cradle for recharging all it's collected data (including plate images) is transferred to a host PC and any new target plates can be uploaded to the device. >>>
