The large colour touch screen enables a clear display and an extremely easy operation. The persons select, depending on the requirements, various functions either via the four programmable function keys or directly via the large touch screen. They identify themselves with their personal data carriers and fingerprint.
Identification is of course contactless via RFID using the leading LEGIC®/Mifare/ISO technology. When data carrier is requested the reading centre activate its flash light.
The four function keys can be set individually out of 99 possible functions. The GAT ST 290 is able to store up to 20,000 bookings and persons as well. An internal USB port enables a memory expansion at any time.
The personal data base in the GAT ST 290 allows the terminal to work autonomously, i.e. the entry queries, time schedules etc. are performed by the terminal itself based on the stored configuration data and run by a software programme. The communication occurs either via the Ethernet or a serial RS 485 interface. A WLAN or GSM modem can be connected to the internal USB port of the terminal.
The mounting and putting into operation of the GAT ST 290 is simplified by the intelligent docking station solution.
