Applications The G9B is a compact and versatile unit suitable for a wide range of boiler cleaning applications where ambient temperatures are such that a fixed element sootblower is feasible. The element type sootblower is widely used for land and marine applications. The most common usage is on generating banks and economisers, but they are also widely used on oil heaters and air heaters. Operation The Diamond-designed Multi Nozzle Element and element bearings are supplied in various specially-treated steels and alloys suitable for gas temperatures up to 1100°C and up to a maximum length of 6 m. The element nozzle spacing is designed to provide an overall cleaning by mass blowing. In both cases, the Diamond supersonic nozzle design achieves high cleaning efficiency with low consumption. The supersonic nozzle gives a 20% increased efficiency over conventional type nozzles, which results in greater penetration and higher jet energies for the same consumption. The sootblower may be mounted either horizontally or vertically onto the boiler via a wallsleeve and mounting flange. The sootblower head can be rotated at any angle through 90 degrees on either side from the normal upright position to accommodate installation interference. Control Options The sootblower is driven by an electric motor and controlled by a single limit switch. Alternative motors and limit switches to suit various operational environments, (including hazardous areas), are also available. The sootblower may be operated from a local pushbutton station mounted near the sootblower, or when fitted, from a manually operated start lever on the limit switch. On larger applications the G9B sootblowers are integrated into a sootblower sequential control system operated from a control panel in the boiler control room. Solution for complete wallsystems The construction of complete solutions for rear wall systems is due to the large number of individual parts time and cost intensive. As an innovative manufacturer HEMA has searched for a solution - and a modular designed complete solution for XYZ-systems was conceived for best practical usage. Multiple application variations can be laid out quickly and realistically to achieve the optimum solution. Based on these data we can generate within short time an individual quotation. The modular built-up rear wall system called CUBE for typical chip-cutting machining centres reduces the engineering efforts for a complete protective cover for two axis significantly. Inquiries can be answered more faster and yet detailed, even the costs for each CUBE rear wall system are well below the costs of an individually designed concept. These facts are benefits for the machine builders with smaller production numbers and very special machines. The great savings in time and money in comparison to previous construction inquiries and orders could otherwise only managed with large production numbers with identical design. Using the straightforward formulas we can determine the width and the height of the outside frame of the cover and for the sheet metal design and then provide these for the machine construction. The covers in CUBE model consist of bellows which are incorporated in X- and Y-direction fitted individually to match perfectly. Depending on the loads and machine travel speeds the suitable bellow guiding will be selected. The dimensions of the outside frame and the individual components are calculated according to the requirements of travel speed and stroke. Extensions up to five meters and heights of three meters are possible. Speeds of 120 m/min even in the maximum given dimensions can be achived. Bellows of the solid SAMURAI-line with fixed mounted stainless steel lamellas which protect the bellows against hot and sharp-cutting chips will be used. The spindle lead-through can be adapted to the individual customer requirements. The frame construction is made from solid warp resistant steel sheet. The mounting connection options of the rear wall can be integrated into the frame construction whereas the force transmission of the x-axis requires in the upper and lower areas connections to the machine. For an optimum force transmission to the x-cover protection it must be connected at the top and bottom with the moving column or other supporting machine parts. To guarantee permanently a high quality only ISO 9001 inspected and proven HEMA products will be used. Lateral channel blowers are centrifugal blowers for conveying absolutely oil-free air and nitrogen. The motor is directly flanged to the blower or connected by V-belt drive. RKR lateral channel blowers are used in wastewater treatment plants, in swimming pools, in the industry for example for blow-air-bearinglayers in sewing plants. The maximum over-pressure is 700 mbar, the maximum vacuum 450 mbar. The actual series of units incorporate the latest refinements in lateral channel blower technology, including improved power-to-performance ratio, lower sound emissions and reduced weight.
