ELECTRO-MECHANICAL DOOR LOCK - HERCULES

GENERAL:The
Hercules access interlock is used on hinged and sliding doors as a part of a interlocking system with the function of preventing access to dangerous areas.
OPERATION:
Key free-bolt trapped-2n/c 1n/o
The interlock prevents the opening of the bay door by the means of bolt which can be released only when the key is inserted and turned. Rotation of the key operates theelectrical contacts within the Hercules. With the bolt removed and the door opened the key is trapped and can only be removed after the door is closed and the bolt re-inserted.
INSTALLATION:
The housing of the interlock should normally be mounted on the static frame of the bay door and the bolt to the door using suitable M6 fasteners.
Floating bolt bracket is highly tolerant to misaligned guards and should be fitted with suitable M6 fasteners. Please refer to the drawing for maximum and minimum mounting distance for the housing and bolt.
Hercules interlocks are available in Hand 1 and Hand 2 version suitable for left or right hand mounting.

ATLAS RANGE DOCK LEVELLER
For over two decades Chase has been designing and building quality dock levellers without compromise which has resulted in an enviable reputation for the extensive range of rugged and reliable
hinged and telescopic lip dock levellers. In use, a dependable electro-hydraulic system provides total control at the push of a button for safe and precise control. The entire dock leveller range also fully conforms to the current European standards for dock levellers, EN 1398.
Our dock levellers are designed to maximise uptime of your loading bays. This combined with our planned maintenance support will give you a total life cost significantly better than alternatives that may initially appear cheaper solutions. Our dock levellers have a reputation for longevity and reliable service.
FEATURES OF THE RANGE
All models are of steel construction and incorporate specially selected materials such as anti-slip deck and lip plates with high grade steels for hinge bushes and fulcrum pins.
Specific factors have been considered within the design of the leveller support frame to ensure that the loads transferred from the deck are correctly distributed to minimise long term fatigue.
The design of the deck permits limited diagonal torsion movement without fatigue to its structural integrity. This will enable loading/unloading of canted vehicle beds.
The electro-hydraulic system is powered by a motor rated between 0.75 and 1.1 kw depending on leveller size, requiring a supply voltage of 415/440V 3 phase and earth.
The control voltage is 24 volt via the transformer housed within the wall-mounted control box which offers protection to IP55.
Corrosion resistance is minimised with a high specification rust inhibiting paint.
Pit sitting or suspended frame - for tail-lift accommodation.
CAPACITY RATING
To provide choice for application the standard range of dock levellers are produced in two load capacities, 6000kg and 9000 kgs. Alternative capacities and special sizes can also be produced.

KEY EXCHANGE UNIT - SALVO EXCHANGE

GENERAL:The Salvo-Exchange is a solenoid controlled trapped key interlock switch, designed to allow a through the wall exchange of keys. Two units are required per installation.
OPERATION:
Under normal operating conditions the key is trapped in the lockportion and the solenoid de energised. To release the key, a signal must be received at the solenoid from an external source. With the solenoid energised, the LED will illuminate to confirm that the key can be removed. Rotation & subsequent removal of the key will alter the condition of the contacts within the switch.
Optional contact conditions are available to suit specific operating requirements.
INSTALLATION:
1. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrical engineer.
2. Units should be mounted to a flat surface using 2 off sets ofsuitable M6 fixing screws, washers & nuts, drill panel to dimensions shown on page 4.
3.The lock mounting areas should be sealed with silicone for ingress protection.
4. Cables should be connected to the switch & solenoid in accordance with the applicable wiring diagrams, see page 2.
5.Ensure that the unit is bonded for earth continuity. Check all input supply voltages with component ratings prior to powering up.
6. Fit label supplied on outer side of panel over lock & lamp indicator.

Application
The SwingDOCK is the standard solution in general industry applications and easy to operate. The dock-in process has to be exact because of the defined length of swing lip; repositioning with the docked vehicle is not possible. The SwingDOCK system meets the standard demands of most loading businesses and complies fully with all rules and regulations of the European Standard EN 1398.
Mode of operation
The operation of a SwingDOCK with a steel or an aluminium lip is based on an electro-hydraulic swinging mechanism which bridges the last centimetres between the building and the vehicle bed. When the dock leveller is raised the lip swings out and then – when lowered – lays down safely onto the lorry bed. After loading or unloading the leveller is raised again by the push of a button and automatically returns to its parking position, i.e. to ramp level. To enable the handling of vehicles with different widths the swing lips are available in different configurations: square, shaped or with fold-down segments.
