The cascade-type mixer uses the principle of multiple repeated splitting and subsequent rearrangement of a flow consisting of different fluids for mixing. Basically, a flow of two adjacent streams of different fluids is split and then merged again so that a flow of four adjacent streams is generated. This procedure is repeated several times in a cascade-like manner so that finally a large number of thin adjacent streams of the different fluids are generated. Diffusion and, in addition, secondary flows generated by this embodiment result in a rapid mixing process or, with immiscible fluids, in generation of dispersions. The distinguishing feature of this mixer is the creation of extremely thin flow layers without any structures that are of the size of these layers. This makes it particularly suitable for use with flows containing particles or for fluids of high viscosity. The standard mixing module is equipped with a 5-stage cascade which is usually sufficient for most micromixing processes. A particularly beneficial feature of the module, ease of cleaning, results from the few individual parts it is composed of, and the easy and direct access to all microstructures. >>>

At its heart is the Automax cone crusher with hydraulic setting, tramp release and unblocking system. Its unique crushing action produces high quality aggregate and sub-base material. Available with a choice of four liners including Autosand and two “eccentric” throws, it will give excellent capacity, high reduction and good product cubicity. The Maxtrak plants are fitted with a feed hopper that enables the Automax to be continually choke fed. This is essential for all cone crushers to maximise the reduction and manganese life as well as for optimal product shape. A level probe over the feed ring regulates the feed belt to ensure the Automax is perfectly fed. An optional feed hopper level probe is available for applications where the source of the feed is intermittent and unable to keep the cone crusher continuously choke fed. To achieve optimal performance the crusher should be fed with well graded material from the maximum feed size down to zero. Any fines in the feed should be clean crushed rock.
