AUTOMATIC GUIDED CART - SMARTCART®

AUTOMATIC GUIDED CART - SMARTCART®

The SmartCart Automatic Guided Cart (AGC) is ideal for moving products on an assembly line and around a warehouse or manufacturing facility. SmartCart is an Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV) that is guided by magnetic tape and is extremely flexible allowing customers to install and modify the guidepath quickly and easily – sometimes in a matter of hours. Also, the guidepath can be installed in advance of the product changeover to significantly reduce production downtime. The vehicle’s carrier can be replaced to accommodate different types or sizes of products. A prime area for cost-savings in manufacturing plants is in-process inventory reduction. Simply by adding or removing SmartCarts/Automatic Guided Carts from the line, assembly production rates can be increased or decreased on demand. This is a substantial benefit over conventional assembly conveyor methods which require the assembly line to be designed and installed up front for the maximum potential production rate. SmartCart can be integrated with Webb's other Smart Warehouse products, SmartLoader, an Automatic Trailer Loading vehicle, and AS/RS, to fully automate warehouses and increase productivity while reducing operational costs. Material Transportation: The SmartCart Automatic Guided Cart can be used as a load-carrier, with load-platform or transfer mechanism such as a non-driven conveyor bed. >>>
