More use is made of calculated values, which on some products may be linked to the student answering multiple choice questions relevant to the topic. Hints are provided to the student if required. Simple, open loop control is implemented by means of an input box on the Mimic diagram display. The required output value can be typed in or set by using up-down arrow buttons. Where closed loop control of a variable is required, the software can implement closed loop proportional, integral, derivative (pid) control algorithms. This gives the user of optional manual or automatic (pid) control, and allows the pid values to be changed. Simple on-off controls are implemented by button switches on the Mimic diagram. Product Overview MEDUSA4’s parametric functionality lies at the very heart of its design automation capabilities. You can either create and control parametric 2D symbols, drawings or even 3D models interactively, or use MEDUSA4’s powerful programming tools to completely automate the process. Creating Parametric Geometry MEDUSA4’s familiar drafting tools allow you to easily create and dimension your geometry. Its parametric tool tray then provides access to all the additional functionality needed to parameterise your design. It is the ideal production tool for product assembly, packaging, sealing, electrical potting, and encapsulation. A highly efficient 300 watt heater housing assembly is thermostatically controlled, guaranteeing adhesive at the right temperature just when you need it. Operation of the TEC 3150 is simplicity itself. Adhesive is extruded by simply squeezing the trigger, and adhesive flow rate is regulated by trigger pressure. A valved nozzle ensures clean shut off of adhesive. The TEC 3150, loaded with two TECBOND 43mm cartridges, can never run out of adhesive as a cartridge always remains in the gun at the right temperature. Reloading takes just seconds. The highly efficient heater housing assembly provides a 5 minute warm up and excellent adhesive melt rate. This, combined with the non-stick PTFE barrel and easy-action trigger, results in smooth free-flow adhesive application. Safety and efficiency are the bywords with the TEC 3150. It is designed to comply with worldwide industrial and electrical safety standards, has a totally enclosed heater housing, and has built-in thermal fuse protection to avoid temperature runaway in the case of component failure.
