The Porton™ Anemometer is a highly sensitive but robust transducer in which the rotational speed of a 3-cup rotor is measured by means of a photo-electronic pulse generator and ratemeter. An analogue d.c. voltage output is obtained which is substantially linear with respect to windspeed allowing accurate averaging of windspeed data. The standard range A100 instrument gives 0..10v for 0..100Knots, the high range A100H instrument gives 0..7.5v for 0..75m/s. For low windspeed use, variants are available giving increased output voltages. All rotors are supplied with individual calibration data traceable to national standards, and the low torque offered by the precision ball-race mounted shaft ensures a low thresholdspeed (0.15m/s) and good repeatability. The small size and light weight of the A100 series anemometers together with the unique gravity sensitive fastener for the rotor facilitates use in portable applications. These instruments also feature a remote calibration system. Construction is from anodised aluminium alloys, stainless steels and weather resisting plastics for exposed parts. Precision corrosion resistant ball-races and a stainless steel shaft enable the R30 rotor response to produce a highly sensitive yet robust instrument suitable for continuous exposure to the weather. The Alphasense Electrochemical range of Nitric Oxide sensors are available in both the companies 'A' and 'B' series sizes and are colour coded in light blue moulded tops. The 'A' series is also available as an oxygen sensor. The alphasense NO-A/B provides OEM's with a good, reliable sensor for use in a number of high volume applications. Strong signal levels combined with low zero current allows resolution to 200ppb (parts per billion) whilst giving linear outputs to as high as 250ppm (parts per million). The sensors are suitable for inclusion in fixed installation sensing heads, portable safety instruments and stack gas analysers. The sensors incorporate innovative catalyst technology, which reduces the effects of a number of common cross interference gases whilst ensuring batch-to-batch consistency and stable output. These sensors provide a significant improvement in stability of response with respect transient relative humidity changes. These sensors allow OEM's to design instrumnts that provide trouble free monitoring of the reduced allowable maximum exposure limit of 1.0ppm for Nitric Oxide. Physical robustness allows the sensors to be used in the most demanding environments. As with all other Alphasense sensors, the use of stabilisation racks to continuously monitor every sensor during initial conditioning ensures that only sensors operationg within specification are passed to the companies unique ATAV (Alphasense Test and Validation) system. The key operating characteristics for every sensor are recorded against the sensor serial number, which is bar coded onto the sensor. Measuring principle of the Ga2O3-sensor for COe measurement In general, a metal oxide sensor consists of an active layer, which resistance changes when exposed to the gas being measured. This unique semiconductor gas sensor is operated at high temperatures approx. 750°C. Ga2O3 sensors show faster response and recovery times and lower cross sensitivity to humidity than other sensors. Additionally, Ga2O3 based sensors show stable long-term sensor properties even in flue gases containing of sulphur and dirt e.g. found in fuel oil burners. Furthermore, the sensor has an excellent performance and measurement repeatability. The benefits of the Ga2O3 cell compared to other materials are the physical and electronic characteristics of the material. Compared to other commercially available metal oxide sensors, Ga2O3 sensors provide a series of unique product features: • Ga2O3 sensors do not require any pre-aging or conditioning as some other metal oxide sensors.
