    The SVT 02 alarm system is a simple and efficient instrument for recording the bursting of a rupture disc. The detector is installed between the container on the discharge side and the flange down stream from the safety device replacing the traditional seal. The cables of the alarm system must be connected to the plant’s safety system and the detector will be activated by the electrical current of the factory safety system. When the disc bursts the silver circuit of the SVT02 alarm system is destroyed and as a result of this the flow of current is cut off, allowing the connected equipment to signal that the disc has opened. A printed conductor with a resistance of about 20 ohm was applied to the SVT02 alarm system, in order to provide a typical passive component. This material constitutes the so-called “basic electrical material” related to the type “I” intrinsic safety protector method that is described in detail in chapter 5.4 of the EN 50020 standard “electrical components for explosive environments, type “I” intrinsic security”. Regarding the basic electrical material, no certification is necessary if the above-mentioned standard is respected. >>>

Our Eclipse Alarm Management Conversion (AMC) package has been designed to receive an alarm from equipment over a dial-up or IP connection as an ASCII text message, convert it to an SNMP trap and forward it to an SNMP management system. It is an ideal, cost effective solution for integrating any legacy equipment that you have on your network into an IP-based SNMP management system. Although commonly used in data networks, SNMP does not use an acknowledgement for received messages, i.e. it sends an alarm and assumes it will arrive.
